We need to start putting the girl in jail for lying when its proven it was false.

Absolutely! If you are found not guilty or have charges dropped/dismissed you can file against the person who accused you for filing a false report.

Personally, and as a female, I think women who maliciously accuse a man falsely of rape should get the same prison sentence the man would have gotten if he had been convicted of rape.

Back to the officer......Whatever he was doing with this girl, he knew it was wrong and illegal and carried charges. Off with his head!

This is common sense for all adults-leave the jail bait alone!

Lewd acts with a child can mean you asked a child to goto the movies.

Not even close. According to the law dictionary:

lewd and lascivious adj., adv. references to conduct which includes people living together who are known not to be married, entertainment which aims at arousing the libido or primarily sexual sensation, open solicitation for prostitution, or indecent exposure of genitalia (which is itself a crime). Due to the tendency of judges to be overly careful in writing about moral and/or sexual matters the definitions have been cloaked in old-fashioned modesty. Today the term usually applies to pornography, prostitution, and indecent acts.

Our state employees have been giving us a bad rap lately. Damn shame our Democrat governor and his stooges have stayed in the shadows. I'm at the boiling point with these elected officials feeling like they can get away with anything.

Yeah, every 10 years or so we have a rash of county commissioners that resign in disgrace and take their embezzled millions to the Cayman Islands where they can ponder the error of their ways over a pina colada.

I've been arrested twice for things that aren't even crimes, fercrisake! Cops here are idiots that don't know the law much less enforce it properly.

They need a new recruitment sign.
"No education? No brains? No morals? No self-discipline? No problem! Join your local Oklahoma police force today!"

As a law enforcement officer he should of known better. He took an oath to uphold the law. Same type of thing happened to an ex-partner of mine. Judge gave him twelve years. Sometimes we cops are our own worst enemy. We wonder why the public doesn't trust us. Please don't judge all police the the abusrd action's of a few. Some of us still hold our duty to the public very close.

Do tell...what ideas do you have for working ape taint in to this conversation? I can think of a few but lets see if we come up with the same ones!

skyeyes, I'm glad to hear that there are still cops that take their oath to the public seriously and conduct themselves with honor. Thank you for that.

I'm curious as to your take on this story. Not many details are given in the article leaving speculation as the main source for drawing conclusions. From the limited information available and as a LEO, what are your thoughts about the charges brought against this officer?

Perhaps he busted her doing something illegal and to save her own but she invented this story against him so that she wouldn't get busted.

Wouldn't be the first time such a thing has happened.

Entirely possible but I'm curious as to why there are so many charges against him. Also, the cops around here cover each other's back sides pretty well and he WAS suspended without pay.

It is SOP for state employees (having been one, I know) that whenever any allegations are brought against you, you are suspended but WITH pay unless the state is pretty sure that they're going to be firing you anyway, then they suspend you without pay.

Additionally, I find it alarming that the trend is to blame the victim in these situations. No doubt there are dishonorable and malicious females that will stoop to such vindictive tactics but in this case the axiom "where's there's smoke, there's fire" is probably applicable.

It's a story that certainly bears watching but I'd be surprised if it even continues to make the news. These things tend to get swept under the rug rather quickly.

Here's an update where the officer admits to the charges, says he knew he would lose his job, knew it was wrong and hoped he wouldn't have to go to prison.

The documents said the girl said she wanted to have sex with Morris but he told her they would have to wait until she was 16. They also talked about getting married and that she made him feel like a teenager again, the documents said.

So we see here, it appears that she seduced him. And it looks as if he got caught up in it.

That was stupid on his part. I don't know the whole story. Her side of things.

Perhaps he broke off the tryst with her and that pissed her off, so she claimed that he did what he did. Perhaps he did do what is alleged, but perhaps it was consensual.

Still in my opinion touching a 15 year old is pretty sick.

I find it odd that she wanted to have sex with him but started dating his son.

Also, it seems to be a trend for younger guys to mack on us older women. I'm not sure what that's all about but I have noticed the trend. These young guys that flirt with me don't "make me feel like a teenager"; they make me feel like the grandmother that I am. I keep wanting to offer them milk and cookies. I certainly don't want to offer them anything else.

But being young and cute she is entirely at fault for "seducing" him. She should be sentenced to wearing a burkha until she's my age as well as a chastity belt. In fact, she should not be allowed out in public without permission from her father, brother or oldest son. That'll keep the grown men safe from her seductive witchlike power.

*sarcasm off*

That's cause older women rock! It's just a fact.

Sadly though, the older I get the younger the older women get, I'm almost dead equal to age of the Older women I saw as hot in my late teens.

As far as the rest, The officer was wrong to play "hide the baton" with a 15 year old. I mean that's pretty messed up right there. And he definitely should have known better, fact is he did but he let his "little officer" think for him instead of using his brain.

But lil miss kiss and tell shouldn't be playing with an older mans gun.

No matter how amped up I get over some of these issues in the news, your take on the situation always makes me smile.

Don't say that too loud. I'm still ticked about the guy that raped a 5 year old here and is getting out

More and more of it is getting exposed. How many lives have been ruined by these so-called "good guys"? Here's the latest in corrupt Oklahoma law enforcement officers:
