Ok before I looked at this post. I was going to say because she wanted to see the man again? How in the world does that mean I have the capacity to be a serial killer? (lol).

If you are living with this type, be very organized in your secret plan to split! Surround yourself with friends. I can not tell you enough to be very careful, they play dirty, they stalk, they discredit. they make you crazy, they cheat and lie and sometimes they kill you if you dare leave them, or damage you enough so you will never be able to function. 2 legged Hell!

Power is an aphrodisiac, I guess the victim usually will be attracted by the sense of power that emits from such a confident self entitled demon.

You need Marshal Arts, forget alcohol or medication.

I just did the test and got 24%. It said I am too charming for my own good but not a psychopath.

Wow, who knew I was that charming?

I myself have been diagnosed as a psychopath (but nowadays they call it Antisocial Personality Disorder) though I only scored 72% on your test (but I hit all the DSM-4 criteria, you bet) and I have a few more helpful points you have not yet brought out.

Psychopaths tend to know that they are psychopaths (unless barnyard stupid or raised by wolves), they are aware of their diagnosis, and they know which of their characteristics are the psychopathic ones. Instead of being embarrassed or saddened by being psychopaths, like you would imagine a normal person feeling in such circumstances, they tend to feel more or less overtly proud of it, as if it conferred some (at least slight) honor or distinction - but that doesn't mean they will volunteer this information to you if it is against their interest.

Psychopaths think that the difference between themselves and other people is that psychopaths are clear-sighted, insightful, free and brave...whereas normal people worry too much about the things that others have told them are important, and never find out how to see themselves clearly and do what they actually want.

Psychopaths think that only they really know how to have a good time.

The only person a psychopath is likely to really think is fun for long, or to want to learn from for long, or to actually admire significantly, is another psychopath. Normal people are soggy and hard to light.

Psychopaths are overly proud of themselves even if they seem not to have accomplished anything, because they tell themselves "Nobody else could do what I have done"(which is usually true, they have generally performed many amazing and perversely difficult tricks on the way to getting nowhere after losing interest) and particularly because (this is true by definition) they can say of themselves "I always did exactly what I wanted to"/"I never did anything if I didn't want to"/"Nobody tells me what to do"/"I can do any god-damn thing I want" et cetera along those lines...that right there is the psychopathic principle, like "To thine own self be true" or "Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven", "Nothing is true, everything is permitted" and I could multiply similar proverbs to the same effect.

Hopefully these observations are to the point...I would also point out that the OP tends to depict psychopaths crushing or burning victims, ones like that are kind of a heavy touch, one-trick, low-functioners...Psychopaths don't need to be parasitic or dependent, they can be as self-reliant as anybody while still displaying their typical flagrant disregard...I mean, if you had permission to do anything/whatever you wanted, not everybody would want to cause others to do things for them/take care of them, for any length of time...a psychopath can also just want to keep moving, learn something new, take care of themselves and see what happens next...Ones like that just don't cause so much comment...

The problem with psychopaths is they are too practical.

The first time they threaten somebody with violence or intimidation to get their way, and it works, they don't see themselves as a monsters; they just see a tool that can be used when needed to get what they want. The person they use it on is irrelevant.

Most people would feel guilty about that. Psychopaths have no empathy or conscious, so there is no ingrained part of their brain fighting against that behavior. It's simply another tool they carry around, to be used when needed.

From a business perspective, psychopaths have a lot of admirable characteristics. The ability to manipulate people simply makes you a leader, and a guy who can get things done.

Having no conscious means you can put business before people, which is great when the best way to make profits means exploiting or hurting other people.

Jeffrey Skilling (Enron CEO) is an example of a psychopath in business.

He hijacked California's power grid, cut output (supply) and raised prices astronomically.

He defrauded share holders, cooked the books, and lied about damn near everything.

He screwed thousands of Enron employees, including his best friend and cohort, Kenneth Lay.

He possessed great charm, as well as a huge ego and grandiose sense of self worth; and when he didn't get his way, his temper flared.

The most screwed part of all his exploits, is that he never actually admitted to ever doing anything wrong. It's hard to tell if he's just lying, or if he really thinks it.

Sorry, I guess I didn't use the qoute botton correctly!

I forgot to thank you for the links. I will take a look at them! I can't imagine how hateful a person can be to an almost stranger, or to anybody for that matter! Truly scary.

You Are 4% Sociopath
You're empathetic, loyal, and introspective.
In other words, there's no way you're a sociopath... but you can spot one pretty easily!

I cant say I am surprised or displeased with the results. However, that test requires some degree of honesty as the questions are pretty obvious, and one has to wonder if a true sociopath would be willing to tell the truth. Its a fun little quiz, and if you are being completely honest, it probably could give you some idea about your degree of sociopathy, but a true sociopath could very easily cheat it.

I just took the test..just to see....and I checked off three of the questions......results said:

"You're empathetic, loyal and introspective. In other words there's no way you're a sociopath...but you can spot one pretty easily!"

I think they are really good questions....and ones we should ask about the people we let into or are already in our lives.....just because someone is a relative and/or they are friends that we love......doesn't mean that they are not sociopaths...I think we all need to wake up and question ourselves about the people in our lives.

I agree with you that asking the person may not be the best route, but those ARE great questions to ask about the people we let into our lives. A good sociopath will lie if you ask them directly if it suits them to do so. But if you observe someone, you can pick up, on your own, how well they fit that profile.

@Silent thunder, I dont disbelieve your results. I dont always agree with you on all issues, but you dont strike me as a sociopath.
