Actually, I'm more concerned that the FDA didn't do more extensive testing BEFORE such a product was released.

So, what kind of testing do you think can conclude that 130 humans out of millions will lose their sense of smell from taking this product, genius?

a 100 year long trial?

If that happened, every fool on this board would be saying we have advanced medicine out there that is being covered up by trials so we can't get access to it.

Fact is, we get access to the most "advanced" medicines (i.e untested to the impossible degree that would make them 100% safe)

Wait wait wait.

They can't sell their product because it needs to be thoroughly tested, but they can administer, without consent, a swine flu vaccine that is completely untested?

It's just completely untested, but yes.

To give you an "analogy" ( I say analogy, because you obviously don't understand the reality), if were to contract a virus that could kill you relatively shortly, compared to say... a common cold, you might be willing to risk taking a drug that could kill you OR save you, if you were going to die anyway.

Then again, people like you would probably just choose to die out of principal.

Survival of the fittest.

I think this is sick. There are lots of reports of ppl being permanently "smell crippled". This isn't cool. This is free enterprise run amuck. C'mon guys.

Listen here. Write the government and request that they outlaw peanut production. People die from peanut allergies all the time.

Peanuts are food and not manufactured. Zicam is a synthetic substance for commercial sale and its renedering ppl disabled.

If you think ppl being alergic to things is the same as a chemical burning out their olafactory nerves, I think you're just not looking at it the right way. There are clear differences.

In other words, while peanuts may hurt and even kill those who are allergic to it, it is a natural Earth bound nut. It grows and ppl eat them. It's not like ppl can mistakenly take Zicam if the company didn't manufacture it. It only exists because someone is making it, and it's hurting ppl. At the very least the Zicam should have a big warning on it that reads "Use at your own risk. Reports of loss of smell have been reported with this product, and it is permanent"

You are splitting hairs. Both products are on the market, yet you are defending one because it "grows".

You aren't making any sense. You may as well defend one or the other because of what color it is or how much it weighs.

First off, your analogy of a person taking a cure that may kill or cure rather than suffering a disease that kills quickly is flawed. The swine flu virus has a mortality of .03% which is the same as the regular flu. It has not shown to be particularly dangerous or virulent, all just the propaganda of a government and media bent on selling massive vaccines for whatever reason. Indeed, the last the the swine flu came around, in 1976, about 10 people, i believe, were eventually confirmed to be casualties from the swine flu....meanwhile thousands of people were injured by the vaccine, some with permanent neurological illness, and several deaths.

As far as comparisons, heres a good one. Zicam nasal spray apparently made 130 people lose their sense of smell over several years of sales. Nsaids, on the other hand (tylenol, advil, etc) KILL over 7500 people EVERY YEAR. See the FDA hittin up the pharmeceutical giants? ......Didnt think so. In america you have as much freedom as you can afford....big corporations can afford a lot. Smaller businesses.....not so much. So they are subject to attacks from the FDA, paid for by big pharma to limit their competition.

174 deaths per day from the flu. That's a lot more than drunk driving, and drunk driving is dangerous! I'd say the flu is pretty dangerous if it kills 5x more people a day than drunk driving. Perhaps you should write your local government and tell them to make drunk driving legal because it hasn't been proven to be dangerous.

Apart from your numbers being wrong, the reason for death from what you listed is OVERDOSE, not recommended dose. You don't have to overdose on Zicam nasal spray to completely lose your sense of smell. You just have to take it.

Im sorry but your wrong. The stated annual statistic from flu in the US is indeed listed as some 30000 a year, however these statistics are a fallacy. There are 30000 deaths a year due mostly to pneumonia, and to people with underlying illness and conditions. The annual deaths due just to FLU each year are actually about 300. Not the overblown amount that the AMA would have you believe in order to get you to take a vaccine that only gives between 8-16% immunity ACCORDING TO THE CDC, and all of which contain mercury which is one of the most dangerous neurotoxins known to man.

As to Nsaids, no, its not all due to overdose, and if you want to carry the number over, prescription drugs kill about 100000 a year when taken AS PRESCRIBED, hows that for a statistic? Which tylenol being one of the leading, and chemo and statins following close behind, not including the outrageous anomolies like vioxx etc. Sorry, you can buy their "official" line all you want, but the fact of the matter is that these companies see only the bottom line, care nothing about your health, and will do whatever they can to make profit, even to sacrificing your welfare.

If you dont believe it, google "vaccines contaminated with HIV" and see the MSNBC news report from 2 years ago when thousands of bayer's vaccines were found contaminated with live HIV, and our congress told them they could not sell it here, so they sold them to people in south america and europe. These companies care for profit, not for people, and congress and the FDA protect their interests due to large lobbying bribes. Believe it, or live in your fantasy world, where the large government agencies which accept millions of dollars of lobbying and "perks" actually work for your benefit from the kindness of their hearts.

Every month there is a recall on some "FDA" approved snake oil.

Drug companies spend more on advertising than research.

Evil Monster statistics link here

Bet those old 1800's flashy Painted Wagons salesmen would love to have a box in every house that has magic images that make you feel warm and fuzzy as the pretty butterfly insures your healed.
