According to the report below, Yasser Arafat's wealth (donated by Arab and European Union countries among others) is greater than that of Jeff Bezos, founder and chairman of Amazon.com (Bezos is worth $1.23 billion, according to Fortune magazine). Arafat's fortune could feed 3 million Palestinians for an entire year, buy 1,000 mobile intensive care units, fund 10 hospitals for 10 years, and still leave $585m to fund other social projects, according to the report.

There are regular reports in the French media (not attached here) about Arafat's wife's lavish shopping sprees in Paris. On June 5, the Kuwaiti daily Al-Watan published documents it received from a Cairo branch of a Middle Eastern bank showing that Arafat had deposited $5.1 million into his personal account for his wife and daughter, who live in Paris and Switzerland. According to the report, the money came from Arab aid funds that had been allocated for the Palestinian people.

Palestine is now about to get 7.4 billion in aid over 3 years. 70% will go to pay public salaries. This means it will go into people's pockets and to the pockets of the wealthy that keep the people poor so they will blow themselves up.

Nothing like a bit of unpleasant truth to draw the Jewish/Zionist elements from the wood works. Its like moths to the fire.

It only serves to elevate the persona of the great Jimmy Carter to even greater stature. It highlights the type of vitriolic bile that constantly emits from this group, that he has to put up with. It takes immense calibre of character to know that by exposing the truth to the people of the world, he will have to take and endure this barrage of filth that is typical of the same group.

Its a pity that one can't just take 1% of the essence of Jimmy Carter and infuse it into the cesspool of the Israeli government. I imagine overnight you would see it clearing to a more humane and moral entity. Peace might than be attainable in the region.

Mr. Peanut (Carter) should stick to swinging a hammer and leave politics alone. his policies gave the world a nuclear North Korea, and lead to the current situation with Iran. His presidency ranks in the top three worst in American history.

By all rights, if he is such a great person, he should have refused his Nobel Peace Prize, because of the failure of his (and Clinton's) "Agreed framework."

Oh..... and don't forget how he declared the elections in Venezuela to be "fair." That's a joke, and he's a joke. The sooner he reaches room temperature the better of the world will be. I lived under his presidency...... most here did not.

A bit of truth and history to make things a bit clearer?

Apparently, Benjamin Netanyahu gave an interview and was asked about Israel's occupation of Arab lands.

His response was "It's our land". The reporter (CNN or the like) was stunned - read below "It's our land..." It's important information since we don't get fair and accurate reporting from the media and facts tend to get lost in the jumble of daily events.

oil money.

If we stopped buying oil what could they do to us then.
They would dissolve into local farmers and merchants like
days of old.

So who is causing the oil dependency and eliminated any

You do realize that if God had actually given the Jews the Holy Land that they would not have walked away from it several thousand years ago and they would not be trying to steal it from the rightful owners now?

If God had given the Holy Land to the Jews there would be no fighting over it. Everybody would know about it and would acknowledge it. Who is more powerful? God or unarmed Palestinians?

The United States government has declared Hamas a terrorist group. So does Canada, Austriala,Japan and the EU. Since the EU considers them terrorists, all 27 member nation do as well.

The United States calls everyone terrorists...including people in their own country..on the right and the left.

The numbers speak for themselves. Israel kills 2 civilians for every militant or police officer they kill. Gaza kills 1 civilian for every 3 IDF that is killed. Which side is 'mass terrorizing civilians' again?
