Under a normal Bankruptcy procedure, most of this would not have been allowed. It would have gone like the Airlines in that the customers would not have noticed much difference. Most Dealers would have survived.

Obama did an end run around the law and it is likely the Supreme Court, to late to help, will not support what is happening. But when that happens who pays the losers who were ripped off. I can't imagine the thieving mind that would burn the secured investors and give it to the Unions. Anyone who can't see what is going on is blind or on the DNC's payroll.

This is the stupidest crap I've ever seen. The more Dealers, the more they make. Dealers survive or fail on their own. If there are too many some fail if there are not enough new ones succeed. This is a pure case of Obama paying his debt's for getting elected. It may backfire however in the courts. You can't steal from secured investors and give it to the Unions unless the Courts are rigged. Not all judges are Democrats willing to break the law to destroy small business and turn everything over to big corporations an unions. That is of course their goal.

Even the tax code is being manipulated to force incorporation on everyone. Incorporation means you can be completely controlled by an Obama Czar.

The Federal government's sphere of control represents the single most egregious offense against the citizens.

The political parties (which is a farcical Madison Avenue/Hollywood production) actually participated in this. Their gain was their motivation. However they define their gain, it certainly has nothing to do with the American people, except as a 'human resource.'

It is not Congress and the Senate and the Executive and Judicial that needs a high-colonic..., it's the pointless charade of partisan politics that enables the abuse by way of bread and circuses. It's what killed Rome.

People, speak up. This is more than just some 'political' story. We must recognize the systematic creation of governmental super entities, politically appointed 'czars', and semi-governmental corporations popping up like weeds.

There can be only one possible purpose for the establishment of such an 'order.'

There's only one non-negative thing (and non-negative does not equate to positive) I can say about the entire GM going to bed with our government issue and the content of this thread. And that's the fact that GM did not pay their executives millions of dollars in bonuses with our/taxpayers money. (Like some of the financial institutions did.) I may have missed it if something like that did happen, but to my knowledge it didn't.

Number one thing to keep in mind. The system is rigged, and is owned by the ruling elite. Enough of both parties, but especially the Dems, have been bought off, that they can pass, and do anything they want, and get awaywith it. Ask yourself, "why do they do it"? because they can. Our political system is owned by the elite power people. They control enough people to control it all. How do you think the FED is taking over everything without a wimper from Congress?? They're on the same team, enough of them so the FED can do what they want with immunity. This idea of contril explains a lot. It's a well known fact that most people did not want the bailouts to procede as far as they did. Congress did it anyway. The power people, the ruling elite are making a bid for total control, and they are doing it.
When you control the money and the banks, when you can take over a company at will , with tax payer money, when you can force everyone to one health insurance plan, and finally, when you control food production thru the adoption of United Nations Codex standards---that's pretty much everything folks. It's all about control, and the ruling elite is doing it right before your eyes, and those kool-aid drinking congressmen are going right along with the plan.
I hope You people that voted for this puppet on a string we have now, enjoy what you have now, because you're not going to like the change that's coming, and that's something you can really believe in.

There was an interesting thread where it described Socialism and Fascism as a part of an axis and liberal and conservative as another. So I would surmise that I guess it's both.

Frankly what is happening is a republic being crushed in favor of a corporate oligarchy.

What would have been the effect? Even more people out of business and jobs, you reckon? I don't say that I agree with the current interventions, but I honestly don't see much hope for other measurements.

Its long past time for a national strike. I have a job and I'll go on strike in a minute. Its time for the people to rise up and scream ENOUGH!!!!!!

We've been peaceful weve moderately protested to no avail,the left called us teabaggers. The right tried or did subvert the movement by joining in, I didnt like that part now I'm interested in doing a July 4th week national strike,no repubs invited no dems invited only the people who make this country function'those of us who work for a living and make this country run. National strike now!!!!

Once people buy into a cause/belief it becomes just find and right for them. This is a good example. This just seems natural to this person. Pretty much anything can be rationalized. Some day, people like this will come "on stage" and talk how practical it is to kill off everyone over 60. What was the movie? Soilent Green? Some day they'll promote how patriotic it is to turn yourself into a recycling center. The mind is a terrible liar and the heart center is very dirty. Without legitimate higher guidance it's just a matter of time. Once the "cause" is tied into perceived self interest of the individual the person will see the light and come onboard to any idea.

IMO, Obama's administration is a mix of both Socialism and Fascism, but more on the side of Socialism. We have one of the largest industries in the United States (auto industry) that is now government owned. The health care industry is next on the list & I have no doubts that Obama will get his way & the government will run our health care system. (another major industry in our nation)

Now that was just in five months, imagine what it will be like in four years. Will the government own a good chunk of the transportation sector? How about our media? He's already working on that. And let's not forget the internet. There has been rumors about he wants to begin regulating the flow of information there. How long before he decides that it's in our best interest to have the government run that as well?

The America we knew is already gone IMO. No more land of the free, we are now the land of the czars. No more work hard & reap the benefits. We now are the land of the lazy who get rewarded for a job not done. Gone are the days of individual decision, in are the days of government knows best. Welcome to our new United States of America, aka Obama Nation.

There is really only one solution to dissolve the Corporatocracy/Oligarchy we currently live under and that is "Campaign Finance Reform"!!

Take the money out of politics and "We The People" may have a chance to be represented once again. A chance for our voices to be heard and justice restored.

Until then it's nothing but a bad show. Dem & Rep both are bought and paid for by TPTB doing their little songs and dances with the utmost sincerity. That is the sad state in which we find ourselves.
