The newly re-elected President of Iran is claiming that the vote that took place on June 12 was "Real and Free". Stating that this was a historic election and that the landslide he won by was too large of a margin to have been cheated. But in the aftermath of the election Iranians are protesting wildly on the streets and battling police just a small distance away from where Ahmadinejad had given his acceptance speech. These riots have been called the worse since the Islamic Revolution back in 1979.

This sounds like Iran is going to be a treasure chest of trouble for the forseeable future. I wish we had this sort of passion in the US especially when it came to feeling as if we'd been cheated. Whats everyone else think?

Why are you commenting on politics in Iran? Surely you don't live there do you? As we all know, unless you live there you have no right to make comments from your backwoods USA home.

A few things to keep in mind. The democratically elected government of Iran (Mossadegh) was overthrown by the CIA and MI-6 in 1953 and replaced by the CIA-installed Shah, who proved to be a ruthless tyrant and dictator.

The US is the last country to be judge to whether or not Iranian elections are legitimate.

If Iranian elections are not legit, then it is up to Iranians to sort it out. If there is an uprising or civil war against the incumbent, then why shed the blood of Iranians AND another intruding world police country, when it can be limited to just the Iranians.

It's their business. Leave them alone.

Four years later and it is time for another election in Iran ....Some people like to stir up the old stew again.I am sure Mossad and CIA are busy preparing for another episode of their useless violent interferences.

This time with the MEK terrorists as the opposition.
They are off the most wanted terrorists list.
