Sometimes it's fun to take a peek into history to see how far the industry has come..

here a few to get started

Dustin Hoffman plugs for VW

GM 1958 50th Anniversary

Video on vacuum assisted shifting

There are tons of these classic ads or clips available, let's bring them here so the members can enjoy

commercials, info clips on advancements, defunct brands, all are welcome..

I haven't had the time to find any muscle car ads yet but it would be fun to see how they were marketed back in the 50s-70s

Sweet
thanks for those clips... I love that Mustang ad with McQueen

And that VW beetle just needs an optional propellor and it could go from land to sea.. an amphibious bug..

I tried my best to find a good quality clip of this next ad, but all that I could find were horrible.

I did however find a clip that someone created their own animated version of this commercial using the original audio from the ad....

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T

Kinda reminds me of the Gleason character from the Smokey and the Bandit movie...

Great stuff!

I'd like to thank the Chrysler Corporation for spearheading the research that has led to the demise of the reciprocal piston, internal combustion engine.

Where would we all be today without such bold, prescient engineering?
