Oh booohooo!

The rich are just going to have to come to terms with the fact that they might have to pay just a little more in taxes so that poor people can see a doctor.

You keep living in your fantasy world. You are one of the people that are going to get a hard backhand slap of reality.

The people are going to revolt soon enough, not that I want them too, but people like you are pushing them into a corner. When the bond market falls out and we are facing 30 - 40% U-6 unemployment, and when the pay Czar start getting his grubby little hands into private business and start trying to tell what owners of companies can make your going to see SHTF.

Somebody put it very clearly earlier in the thread, Atlas will shrug. The rich are going to close up their businesses and stop working putting people out of jobs, even more corporations are going to leave to operate oversea's.

It ain't going to work. So keep living in your fantasy world and I don't want to hear any complaints from you about how you end up even poorer than you are, assuming you are poor.

Keep stealing from the rich and they'll stop producing.
Then we all will be hurting.
We don't have a right to their money.
They earned it. They keep it.

Oh come on with that, stealing... Its not stealing when we pay our taxes.

The whole concept that people will stop producing is a logical fallacy, because someone
else will step in and take the place on the alleged rich quitters holdings.

At the same time is it stealing when the rich, dictate a 200% increase in a basic necessity? gas... cough... BS... gas

How about paying $30,000 a month for 60 pills as my father does for one prescription?

Is it stealing when that same pill is available for a couple hundred in some near by countries?

In the end our system is pliable and the populace has the option to effect it will, including taxation via federal action.

Anyhow you will all see stealing, just wait when you or a loved one gets very ill as it is a matter of time. You will get the fine experience of being fleeced and fighting for the most basic of modern care.

Like I said it is a matter of time and I would prefer that all of your lives are not ruined because of what I have witness a few times in a few years.

You and I are the producers - with out the drones a hive ceases to buzz and will soon die. Trickle down has been the norm for 30 years and we are here

BTW John Gault is in Bermuda living the good life

How does that crow taste??

Ethical government my ass! How about these apples:

And everyone bitched and moaned about Bush and his buddies making money off the war and oil. Obama and his buddies will be making it off healthcare reform and cap and trade.

I will shrug personally...

But I might send some goods to the "REVOLUTIONARIES" families after they are hung for treason.

Just wait to see the doc bills you will see in your lifetime... Will you be as detached
as your ideology? Well you will see in time, start saving your pennies now cause it's a great experience and remember, they don't except arms or legs for payment

And where did I say that, pray tell? Or are you just making up stuff hoping Obama's campaign promises get nullified? I say you should pour yourself another tall glass of ice cold Kool Aid to pass the time with your fingers and toes crossed, because it's not gonna work, chap.

Unfortunately, that's the thinking of a lot of people in America. They don't want to have to work for anything, want the government to give them handouts, and they want the government to take from those that did work hard to get where they are at.

When in the hell did this happen?

I mean, there had to be a starting point where the rich became the bad guys and personal responsibility became things our grandfathers talked about.

When did socialism become vogue? When did the people in this country become beggars, takers, whiners, losers?
When did all of that become ok? The norm?
I try every day to teach my kids about the value of hard work, and of the rewards.
But now we have a stinking society that rewards failure!

I don't understand.

I think Obamas kept his word - he isn't going to raise any of your taxes, "not your income tax, your capital gains tax, etc" just like he said.

Instead he's going to create a whole new range of taxes just like we have in the UK.

That's obvious. . .

How about a Value Added Tax of 15% to 20% on everything that you buy - that would raise money!

They (congress, senate) are already talking about it

How about a council tax (used to be called the poll tax) where you get to pay more money depending on how much your house is worth.

Property taxes over here. They are already rising, even though property values are decreasing

Or how about the "nice view" tax they wanted to introduce here, where govt snoopers come to your house & check out how nice the view is - and the better your view the more you pay.

See above for property taxes

Or the dustbin tax where they put microchips in the garbage bins and you get to pay depending on how much garbage you dispose of.

We already have that based on how MANYdustbins we use, curbside

Or you get to pay hefty fines of £1000 if you accidentally put your tin cans in the paper & cardboard garbage bin.

They just put that into effect in San Francisco

Or what about good old carbon credits - they create a whole new market with units that didn't exist before so that you can pay for them.

Cap In Trade, it's what they're discussing right now in DC

Seems like we have more in common than we thought. Just wait, they'll probably try a 'corination' of Obama next. . .
