Hey guys! I was snooping around walker lake in nevada and I know there is a army ordance facility there, but I also found what appears to be a tunnel leading into the mountain. It doesn't seem secretive given the towns nearby, but what may be interesting is that it is close to the army facility. It could be an old mine or maybe something else. Just wondering if anybody knew anything about this location?

Not too sure about a tunnel, but yeah I see what you mean, a quite large curved object looks man made

I'm not sure about that spot, but this old thread on alt.conspiracy.area51 goes into a similar area a bit south of the one you found.

That is the black beauty dam. it was built to supply the Navy Hawthorne Ammunition Depot, an isolated naval base in the Nevada desert.

Just to be clear here, the dam is east of the area in question.

The BBD is at n38.5415885 w118.6959692. The original point in question is about 0.9 miles away.

I was wondering what you G's were on about, I was looking for a tunnel not a dam, anyone know what the structure in the picture I posted is? sort of looks like some kind of fire base like a machine gun nest kind of thing

I think you would have to be on-scene to figure out what the function is of the curved structure. I may visit the area on my next trip, but no promises.

Hawthorne is on the BRAC list, though it ain't over 'till it is over.

It's gotta cost more to close down than to keep open, It's huge, all those weapons bunkers...it would take years to dismantle
