touched by a warm rain
the sun melts into the horizon
the black velvet curtain
lowered in her place
the warmth replaced
a different warmth
a sense of protection
the hustle and bustle
quieted for a brief time
reflection of the mind
collection of thought
silence...
drink it in
its fleeting...
the moon rises
lighting the way
breaking through the dark
like a gleam of hope
for a better day
on the morrow
sweet dreams

Well done. Painted quite the picture in my head of how I use to sit on a cliff ledge where I use to live and just watch the sun set and the moon rise. Oh the silence was more soothing than anything else with the view over the valley below. Those times are times I always remember as those are the times when I really cleared my mind and started figuring things out. This piece reminded me of that and how I miss those serene, silent evenings!
