Not going to happen in the foreseeable future. The Pirates 'model' doesn't include spending much dough on players. We've had some pretty good unknowns but they leave for more money.
Now the Pirates organization makes a very nice profit. Great place to watch a game too. I was going to make a banker/republican joke here but can't out of respect for my homeland.

Ny Mets are not your life. They wont give you food or money for being their fans. Instead they will take money. Understand that and change yourself and live well. You have been a bad doggy

I once heard about an abused boy in a custudy case who demanded to go and live with the Mets.
When the judge asked why,the boy replied that he would feel safer with them because they can't beat anybody.

Theres always hockey!!

So what smarts more? The dropped pop up or the 15-0 smacking around that Santana got today?

For me it was the 15-0 shellacking for one reason, my beer actually got warm during the fourth inning because I was cheering so much and did not have time to drink it.............the horror.

You mean Santana or that Miller Beer commercial guy who takes everyone's brew for not being a proficient enough drinker?

I'm always available for free hugs, and I promise I wont whisper, 'Mariano got a RBI' in your ear. Honest.

stop......watching.....baseball. It will serve you well.

160 games a year? Why in the hell do they need so many? Fans don't even go to the games for most teams. If they cut it down to 30 regular season games, cut the games down to 4 innings with a max of 2 extra innings, and legalize steroids.... then I might tune in.

Just sayin.....

But yeah, I agree, it can be tediously long, especially on a hot summer day. That's why they have beer.

S-Dog, I suggest you abandon the Mets and follow a team that is much more rewarding...how about the College World Series champs - the LSU Tigers!?

Okay that was gratuitous braggging...but college sports is so much better.

This has to be the worst season a baseball fan can endure on behalf of his team ...

As if ALL of the injuries weren't enough, today David Wright taken to hospital after being hit in the head with a 94mph fastball.

What else can happen to this team?

Yeah. No matter what team they're on it sucks to see somebody hit in the head.

Heck I'll let any of the Penguins play second base right now.

Now that's funny, I don't care who you are.
