Washington, D.C. - Congressman Ron Paul’s Federal Reserve Transparency Act, HR 1207, has reached and surpassed the level of 218 cosponsors in the
House of Representatives, which means it is now cosponsored by a majority of the members.
The 218th cosponsor was Dennis Kucinich (OH-10), and the bill has since received its 222nd cosponsor....

The public may very well become aware of the unaccountability of the FED. Even though this will do nothing immediately, it's a step in the right
direction.
Hopefully.

The dis information is going to be on high. The FED has paid lobbyists and Im sure they will work hard to make sure this doesnt get passed or if it
does get passed it will be so watered down essentially nothing will change. I have very little hope for this bill because the banks own to much of
our government. Anyone who DOES vote against it needs their names taken and they need to be voted out of office. We need to start looking at our
peoples voting records this is our country at stake.

Pardon my not knowing, but, what does this mean? I remember reading that this bill was in committee or something along those lines. Does getting
that 218th co-sponsor mean it will be debated on the House floor?
Why did this bill need to have so many co-sponsors? I've seen plenty of bills come and go with a fraction of that.
If it is going to the House floor, it should have, in theory, no trouble being passed. There are some 435 people in the House, half is 217.5 and
that's all that there needs to be to pass a bill.

All of us who are concerned about the Progressives and what they are doing to this country need to be taking names. Anyone in my state that
voted for the bailouts and/or the the economic stimulus plan is on my "throw the bums out" hit list. I will actively work against those who
betrayed the will of of the American People.
By the way, like you sig.

It is good to see that Kuchinich finally got on board, I was becoming a little concerned about him, I kind of like the guy, and it was disappointing
to not see him support something like this.
I'm not in the USA, so my opinion i guess only counts for 0.5c or so, not the full 2c, but I really think that if you are to have a central bank, it
really should be open for your congress to examine. Perhaps then, if it shows what many believe it would show, a totally fraudulent system, you may
even get to the next step that I know many of you would like, a total shutdown of that system.

Does anybody else find it surprising that Kucinich sponsored it so late in the game? Considering his and Paul's similar libertarian ideologies, I
would think that Kucinich would've been one of the first cosponsors.
I'm not necessarily trying to hint at anything here, I just find it odd. Any ideas?

What happens if it lands on Obamas desk and he vetos it?
He is supposed to be a great admirer of Lincoln and Lincoln said the greateast thing he ever done was to give the people thier own money, wonder will
he follow his path or are those shoes too big for Obama. I think they are, what we need is a Jackson.

It's a major defection of a sorts of a big name Democrat to a radical Republican's cause.
I gave kudos to Kucinich for refusing to participate in the most recent 'secret' session of Congress when they were renewing the Patriot Act.
He lambasted the House in a televised speach and excused himself and that was admirable.
With the Democrats in charge though I am sure Kucinich doesn't want to cut his throat with his own party, and waited until it was going to be a go
anyway to get on board.
Kind of like Collin Powell and Barack Obama.

I hope this really does have legs. It would help to understand what the hell has happened.
Maybe something bad will happen instead and distract us all or make it look not so important!

What's the point. It so far gone now that the auditors will have been bought out. Nothing but a massive event will change that... Pretty much the
type of event the government did with 9/11.

I hope this bill becomes law,and the auditors climb up the FED's butt with a microscope. In reality the FED will never let an open honest audit ever
happen. Roaches tend to shy away from the light. The FED does not want any of their dealings known. Just try to find out who the principle share
holders are. Want to talk about secret society, there's one for you.

Obama will sign the veto in such a case. If he doesn't, they will assassinate him and blame that on a lone, crazy, white supremacist, conspiracy
theorist.

I certainly don’t wish to dampen everybody’s ardor. I, as most of you, hope and pray that this House Resolution is passed. What Dr. Paul has done
by introducing this legislation is absolutely amazing. Hopefully, it will zoom past both houses and attain “Veto-proof” status.
However, I don’t really believe that even should this HR pass will the Fed ever be required to provide the Executive or Judicial branches of our
Government ANYTHING!!!
It will be no different than Dick Cheney’s claim that the Executive Branch of Government is above the law.
The Fed literally OWNS the United States Government and will certain find ways of thwarting any due recourse should the situation arise.
Again, please don’t misunderstand me. I wish it were so as much as the majority of you do. I simply believe that things have gone WAY TOO FAR and
that the Fed and people of it’s ilk are simply beyond answering to ANYBODY!!! I certainly hope and pray that I’m proven wrong. For this cause I
would gladly eat a huge slice of humble pie!!!

I almost agree with you on this one, except that i think they would do something else if President Obama doesn't do something to counter this. i am
not too sure they would kill him since until now he seems the perfect man for the goal they have intended.
