One piece of evidence of the single most legitimate proof of the paranormal what would it be. This has to be beyond reasonable proof. I have a friend who boldly and confidently states that there are no ghosts or spirits in this universe. Every person who has ever seen or experienced this as such is either 'sleep waking' or hallucinating - no exceptions! His belief is when you have breathed your last and are pronounced dead - that's it. I need proof that would even stand up in court.

Well if I could get a actual spirit to become visible to him like maybe summon one? Other than that he'd just say it was a hoax.

Some doctors wouldn't agree with what your friend says. I hoped by now the Enlish translation of the book Eindeloos Bewustzijn (Endless Consciousness) would be a fact. It's too bad HarperOne is planning it to come out in 2010/2011

In German (Patmos) it will be for sale in Autum of 2009 as 'Endloses Bewusstsein. In France the book wil be translated by Editions Robert Laffont soon.

Anyway that heartsurgeon/specialist . Pim van Lommel writes in his book that people do come back from the dead quite often after surgery.

As for ghosts I have seen them, felt them, 'talked' with them, so either I'm frigging mental or your friend is just a non-believer except when he has a paranormal encounter himself.

Proof, hard evidence is hard to get. WHAT exactly is HARD evidence?

Shaken a Lavalamp? No

and neither have I put one on the electric cooker to let it explode. THAT guy should come back from the dead and tell his story!

It sounds like the OP's friend might be the type to refuse any evidence what so ever unless it hits them in his face. (Literally)

Doorknobs turning, doors opening as if someone is coming through, rappings, knockings, slidings, objects moving, shadows etc is enough proof in my case.
