Supervolcano may be brewing beneath Mount St Helens

www.newscientist.com

IS A supervolcano brewing beneath Mount St Helens? Peering under the volcano has revealed what may be an extraordinarily large zone of semi-molten rock, which would be capable of feeding a giant eruption.

Technology is really becoming amazing, and it's good to know it exists (especially if you live in this area). I wonder how many 'new' super volcanoes will now be discovered around the world.
As I am not in America, I have no concept of the distance or geography of the area in comparison to Yellowstone (may have to google map it). What sort of population would be affected within the area of these connected volcanoes (the ones mentioned in the article I mean). Is it an area which experiences alot of tremors? Thanks

The USGS only shows 1 earthquake at 3.0 or above for dallas in the last 6 months (5/16/09) and three in the 2.0 range (5/16 aftershock, 6/7, and 6/9)
