Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger vowed Wednesday to let California government come to a "grinding halt" rather than agree to a high-interest loan to
keep the state afloat if he and the Legislature do not close the yawning budget gap in coming weeks.
A loan would only "give them another reason why we don't have to do it now," the governor said. "What we need to do is just to basically cut
off all the funding and just let them have a taste of what it is like when the state comes to a shutdown -- grinding halt."
LA Times
California is going to burn if this happens. What a quagmire. Bail them out for faulty management, like everyone else, or let it burn?

I think the ol" Governator wants to say I'LL be Back!! What a rediculous idea!! SO with all of the rioting of the legals and illegals who are not
going to get their welfare checks and food stamps the police will take the day off and hell will rain supreme.. What CA needs to do is to discern who
is a citizen and who is not and then cut off the non citizens from the free pay day they seem do be getting on all accounts. There are more illegal
immigrants receiving money from the state than natural citizens...and that is a sad fact.....there are also a ton of corrupt politicians who will cry
when their funds are cut off....too bad for all of them..get the illegals the hell out..lock up the corrupt politicians and then let them sort it out
for themselves

I fully believe in Arnold. I believe he is correct in the direction that he is taking. Why should California, a prosperous state be denied funding
by the Obama administration? Why does the US government just keep on printing money when it needs money?
As far as I'm concerned the State of California should leave the union, and start printing their own money just like the USA does. Why can the USA
just print up money and expect everyone to accept it as payment?
California is a very important state in the USA. The only bad thing that I can see about it, is the fact that the NWO probably has some scheme behind
it.
Let California shake up the rest of the USA. Let California grind to a halt, and the other states will fall like domino's. There is a lot of
product coming out of California, in and out of its borders. If those products fail to get proper paper work to travel into and out of California's
borders, then the rest of the USA will crumble quickly.
Star and flag for you my friend.

Just a sign of the times.
Glad that horrible petri dish of a socialist experiment failed.
To our ATS California brethren: For gods sake get out of the state now!

I am surrounded by "emergency responders" and "red necks" No need to run they have my back! Well I have my front and can shoot a quarter at
better than a 1000 yards
If all else fail's will just move out to the ranch early and wait for the house to get finished.( Living in a fifth wheel with 3 teens would suck BIG
time but at least they would be safe.)

Left there 20 years ago... It was bad then too.
I had hope for the state once the Governator took office... thought of returning to California after he reformed the state.
His liberal legislature wouldn't allow him to get anything done, from the little I've read about it.
[governator voice over] "Now, It's time grow a pair and Terminate them ... All of you sissy legislators ... Watch yor back!" LOL
It might make a great movie when the smoke clears. Terminator 5 : How California Rejoined The Human Race.
I would have preferred they let the big corps fail way back in 2008, and help the states instead, the way the Federal Gov't should, given it's
current abilities.
Almost looks like the whole thing is headed up by a naive rookie.

I dunno. I suppose the Governator can do this. California isn't my state and I don't know the laws there. It's just my idea that he really can do
this according to the states constitution. If not, no doubt there would be a very big civil disturbance there. But, then, the voters did speak when he
became governator after the recall of Gov. Gray. Oh, yeah, he did promise to balance the state budget, eh? How's that working out for you
Californians?

When was the last time California was prosperous?
Yea let California become its own country. We can add them to the list of third world countries. Atleast the humanitarian workers won't have to
travel 10-20 hours to get there to help them out.

What's even better is Maynard should be here on ATS
From an article on Tool
23 KEENAN IS IMMUNE TO NSA WIRETAPPING …
Maynard’s never been shy about his political beliefs (see A Perfect Circle’s Bush-blasting 2004 emotive) and he’s certain Dick Cheney would love
to tap his phone. But he’s a gun nut, making him safe: “They can collect any information they want for their records — unless you own a weapon.
Because if you’re part of the NRA, those records can’t be accessed.”
Reallly now
I was reading up on them earlier. Some of the stuff they say . . . they really belong here lol
