Maybe ATS should monitor members that are sane and have no "extremist" views. Oh, and also those that post smiley pics after their comments. Oops.

NSA is already monitoring us, they monitor all internet traffic.
But they don't read all internet traffic because that's impossible.
They scan it, and look for certain things.
However this would be for serious national security issues, not petty crimes.
If someone reports you to the FBI for threatening etc then they would deal with that.
I don't see why any site owners or admins would need to report people to anyone.

I love that one Val. Why would such a forum, especially one like ATS try to do something like that. The T&C's basically spell out what is and isn't allowed. As long as you stay within them, say whatever you want.

It is not ATS's responsibility or obligation to "monitor" members with alleged "extremist views," especially when defining "extremist views," whether they be right wing or left wing, would be highly politically charged, divisive, and problematic. Certainly not good for business being ATS is a business, per se.'

Yes, I think this idea is extremist, intrusive, based on one person's idea of what "extremist" is, takes no account that maybe these behaviors are planted or actively encouraged, and will add most everyone eventually to the "watch" list.

In fact, it looks very much like it came from the PTB....

Say, here is a question I have. Does, or can, ATS include within their forum policy agreement, a notice that stipulates that MEMBERS of the government are NOT permitted to read anything here, copy and print anything here, for government purposes, of any kind? In other words, can the policy basically state either NO GOVERNMENT intrusion is allow, or rather, no government instrusion here without a SEARCH WARRANT? The government doesn't have a right to come into your home and start reading your diary, why should they be allowed to come here and read your thoughts .. without a warrant?

How about we monitor the left wing extremists who seek to impose their own little brand of socialism by instituting confiscatory tax rates and doing away with personal freedoms.

Lets start monitoring them first since they pose a much greater threat to freedom than the right wingers do.

1. No one gives a crap about the Presidents race, except you.

2. The people you are talking about were psychopaths, not terrorists. Sorry but they exist, and there is nothing you can do about that. Not long ago in Portland Some woman threw her children off a bridge and killed one of them. Another woman was murdered and a baby was cut from her womb and later killed. And another, this time a mother tossed her newborn in the bottom of a portable toilet, dead. Where is your moral outrage on this?

3. I am sorry that your saviour is a complete jackass and an economical retard. But it's not my fault. I voted for Ron Paul. You don't care how many articles of the Bill of Rights he shreds, in the exact same manner as his predecessor. It's ok for Obama to illegally bomb Pakistan, right? I really can't believe anyone here doesn't think this place is monitored by the FBI or any number of other agencies. I've read some very radical threads by people trying to garner support for armed revolutions and anarchy here in the USA. It's a thrill for them I guess.
The very day I connected to the internet (in 1998) I just assumed I was being watched and monitored and had good reason to feel that way. It can be liberating to think that way...interestingly enough. Leave notes for the NSA in your garbage. It's fun!
