When I cash out, I get a check drawn on a Canadian bank, and have never had a problem. Fed-Ex gets it to me in 2 days!

I don't mess with poker or casino sites.....strictly sports wagers. The offshore book I deal with is licensed and regulated by the country of Antigua and I have never had a problem. 100% Legal!!!

U2U me for more info...they reward members for referrals!

I don't understand how people allow stupid laws like these to be passed. How can a card game be illegal, it is ridiculous. Every day more and more stupid laws get passed how long will it be until everything is illegal?

There is no law saying you cant play poker online.

As other posters have mentioned, I use my credit union debit card to deposit when I play.

I was effected by this this week. My check bounced and before I recieved any notice of it I had already incurred $300 in overdrafts from my bank. I routinely transfer money to my bank from my poker site without issue. I play poker to supplement the income or lack there of I earn as a starving artist.

What's really got me pissed though, is that my property was seized without a warrant. So the US Attorney's office every so nicely asked "MY" bank to freeze "MY" money and the banks had no problem violating my civil right to be free of illegal seizure and complied with the "request". And then the greedy bastards charge me penalties......sick

Banks will do whatever they are asked.
They don't even need to be told, they will just comply with all requests from the government without any court orders or anything.
Your money is not your money, its a plain and simple fact.

I was hit by it too. Did your check come from PokerStars?

As far as I know (someone correct me if I am wrong), a bank cannot legally sieze or freeze any accounts unless they have a court order signed by a federal magistrate.

It is not legal in the U.S. You cannot use a credit card from a U.S. Bank to play.

Ummm, yes you can.

You have to get a C.C. from a foreign owned bank.

Ummm, no you don't.

Then you are taking your chances that the Govt. doesn't confiscate winnings. Do they allow you to write off money you lost as an investment?

No, you get to write it off as gambling losses.

By confiscating winnings they haven't given you the chance to pay any taxes.

Did you read the story? Winnings were not confiscated.
