Shooting in Washington DC (Updated)

Hmm According to sources at CBS --The Gun man is believed to be an 87-year-old man linked to white supremacist websites ,he has a record of anti-semitic writings.


That is not confirmed, But interesting non the less if true,
Its believed that multiple sources are now saying this?

Gunman + white supremacist websites + Holocaust museum = The Internet needs to be censored because it's full of Anti-Semitism and Neo-Nazism activity.

No legislation will come from this shooting, but it's all about conditioning the public. Every negative event that can be attributed to a sensitive subject (the Holocaust) and the darkest corners of the Internet (white supremacist websites) works us further towards people accepting censorship.

I'm not claiming this is some staged event and there's a conspiracy behind it. But the media will certainly spin it to fit the masters' agenda.

I don't think it's about conditioning the public. I think it's completely wrong of him to have done this. I think the only people who this affects are this crazy man with the gun and the people who were endangered by him, and those who may be endangered by people like him in the future.

But I fully expect people to relate to him and sympathize with him. Because, you know, he did the right thing. /sarcasm.

One of the guests on Foxnews just confirmed that it was a hate crime. It is also reported that this guy called Colin Powell a "racial slur" and was attacked for that comment by author Tom Clancy. This is getting more bizarre each minute.

IMHO, it affects all of us. It spotlights hot-button issues already being debated like gun control, internet censorship, "homeland" security, anti-Semitism, Israeli relations, the ever-widening definition of a terrorist. Lots of things.

A crazy, hate-filled idiot like this can only serve to push an agenda to further curb our civil liberties. Whether it's conspiracy related or not, the effect will bethe same.

But I'm sure our fellow CT'ers will run wild with this - as they should. Exactly how did this man get inside a Federal building, especially one so vulnerable to legions of extremist, like the Holocaust deniers, anti-Semites and religious fanatics?

I feel so sorry for all of the people in the building, trying to reflect on the souls lost to man's inhumanity to fellow men and then something like this happens.

The website is running slow right now. Perhaps because people are searching his name and finding his website. There isn't much to the site, though. It's mainly advertising his book "Kill the Best Gentiles!"

Didn't someone post early on in this thread their suspicion about a racially motivated suspect? That supposition was deleted by moderators a bit early as it turns out that the post may have been precognitive and and interesting take on the situation. If it turns out that the old man in question is actually the person whose information was posted later in the thread, then that poster was right.

I find it amazing how fast the white house commented on this shooting. I never hear them talk about other high profile shootings in this country so fast. Maybe it's because they didn't respond properly to that muslim killing the soldiers last week.

Media outlets are beginning to report his name. They're saying the main suspect is James W. Von Brunn, which is the same guy that has been linked to in this thread.

NBC News is reporting that the suspect in Wednesday's shooting at the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. is James W. Von Brunn, an 89-year-old man with ties to white supremacist groups.

From his bio on the website Holy Western Empire:

In 1981 Von Brunn attempted to place the treasonous Federal Reserve Board of Governors under legal, non-violent, citizens arrest. He was tried in a Washington, D.C. Superior Court; convicted by a Negro jury, Jew/Negro attorneys, and sentenced to prison for eleven years by a Jew judge. A Jew/Negro/White Court of Appeals denied his appeal. He said there were Jews on the court. Now you know, whether this had anything to do with the shooter today, we don't know, but the fact is, this man they've identified as James Whittaker von Brunm, he certainly has expressed anti-Semitic views in the past. He was living in New Hampshire, so he apparently, after serving his sentence, settled on the Eastern Shore ... and expressed very strong anti-Semotic remarks and views he's had for at least 20 years.

The reporter on foxnews just interviewed 2 people that were witnesses and they told him that the gunman was laying on the ground not moving and police were looking for others and just left him laying there while they searched. The reporter refused to accept that account and told the host that they surrounded the shooter and did not leave him alone.
