Dont know how bright it will be, but I have my telescope packed and ready for the field when it happens. Just hope it lets loose on a clear night...

I hope this star does explode before too long. Hopefully no alien species will be in its path or they will have a nice unplanned barbeque. I don't know how far away it is, but lets hope the blast path or black hole that comes from this thing won't eat us alive. If it does, we'll have answered a lot of questions in astronomy in a short amount of time
. If it is big enough, we might be able to see it with the naked eye during the daylight hours... who knows.
