While there was no immediate claim of responsibility for Tuesday night's attack on what is the most prominent hotel in Peshawar, our correspondent says most people will assume it to be the work of the Taliban.

Well another terror attack on civilians and foreigners in Pakistan. Is this a sign that the militants are feeling the heat from Pakistan's military offensive in the Swat? Is this the last breaths of a sick dog the Taliban.

Many of the eyewitness no doubt that the Taliban was involved in this latest attack. The attack took place in the city of Peshawar in the general proximity of the Swat valley at posh hotel frequented by westerners and government officials.

Personally I think the assaults by both the US in Afghanistan and Pakistan is a way to corner the Taliban like rat with no where to escape.

One interesting footnote from the article is a new group claiming responsibility at the end of the article. They call themselves the Fidayeen-e-Islam. Have any of you folks heard of them?
