ChrisF231 and Destroyed: it's true that there is rather a double standard in rasism now but thats a little off topic and a complex issue... rasist is a word that is far too often at the tip of someones toungue and thrown around too much, or maybe too little when it comes to certain races. I'm not racist but have experienced this many many times.

Anyway, i have to agree that there are some valid comments in his writing, however there is an aweful lot wrong with america beneath all the wealth. This man does sound like a man out to deny change in some ways. It's easy for the rich to say that public heath care is bad, however there are many people who die needlessly simply because they can't afford a doctor or a dentist.
Again i'll say though that there are some good points. The man is portrayed as too perfect, and there is nothing perfect in this world. Percieved perfection is very scary and i do believe that this man is hiding a lot.

you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people

well the guy does have an ego the size of the country he runs

then you apparently arent keeping abreast of the news my friend, because there was charges brought against a group of Black Panthers that were intimidating people at the polls on election day, in favor of Obama......

They had some pretty nice evidence against them as well.........then obama himself dropped the charges........

Dont try to scream at me about that kinda stuff when you are very clearly not keeping up to date on whats going on......

I have no doubt he scares some people. One can look at any one and find something about them that scare them. I don't place a lot of credence on such things. One can look at the so called Bible code, which is nothing more then stringing letters together, and come up with almost any prediction. I want someone to predict something BEFORE and not after it happens, then I will listen.

Sure, there is plenty that disturbs me. Who runs the federal government, though? The legislative branch as a whole has more power than the executive branch, by design.

Now, the PROBLEM is that we operate under a thinly-veiled fascist system, where the two parties create an illusion of conflict. Although conflicts may actually exist over social issues, both parties are the same in their goal to perpetuate imperialism, suppress information, and polarize the nation's wealth.

So, the PROBLEM as I see it, is one that will arise whenever one of those two parties carries a majority in Congress...

Congress passed the ARRA. The President only signed it.
Congress passed new credit regulations.
Congress will give the President just about anything he asks for. Congress. It doesn't have to be that way. If we had competent, caring representation in Congress, the people would have a voice.
But, we never will....

My point is that you can't blame the President for our current direction. It's Congress who is to blame. The current speaker of the house, for example, is, in my opinion, incompetent AND dishonest.

That's where change has to begin, or it will never happen.

Blaming the President for Congressional failings seems suspicious, given that he's only been in office for 6 months...

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

The highest standard of living? It is due to capitalism that there is only one style of living which does indeed have differing standards from high to low but this does not relieve its mainly rotten consequences of choiclessness and resulting suffering.

Tell me, then, who is the current chairman of the Black Panther Party? Who is their current speaker?

I believe Elaine Brown was the last chairman. Her term ended in 1979. The Black Panther party hasn't had a continuous organization since then.

Here's my source:
en.wikipedia.org...

Again, they have a VERY interesting history. You should read more about them. They are one of the more misunderstood political factions in US history.

To help clear up this issue and get back to the topic here is an ATS thread on the Black Panther subject:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Another here:

Video here:

Basically it seems like one incident that was made into a major issue.

Relevant to this discussion?

I'm not Racist. I'm very proud of that I see people as equals no matter what race if I call a black man an ass it's because he's an ass not because he is black. That is true equality treating people in the same mean way no matter what race
I won't be extra nice to an Asian because he's Asian and it'd be "racist" not to, I'll treat him like I would anybody else. I judge people on character and not race or religion.

Your words are all to true. Everyone should show pride in their race and heritage. But not to the point of belittling anothers race. As a matter of fact I have little respect for someone who is not proud of his race. In this day and age,to use race as an issue killer is deplorable. Who really cares what color someone is? Idiots and geniuses come in all colors

i could also say that the KKK has an interesting history you should read about. That doesnt give them the right, anymore than it does the black panthers , to go about trying to bully people into voting in a particular manner........much less be dismissed after having charges filed!

And about the congress thing, your right.....they do hold a lot of power.......and Obama has seen to it that he gets exactly what he wants.......you can deny all you want man, but to a huge number of us........its very very very clear....

Actor John Voight who played the number one 'bad guy' in this season's '24' episodes made a speach today accusing Obama of being a false messiah.

It was kind of funny actually. Voight had played the owner of a huge mercenary outfit like Blackwater on '24' this season and was actively conspiring with an African Junta to develop biological weapons to use in a terrorist attack to bring down the President and her administation on the show. (she was a liberal but I liked her better than Obama, she had some real principals but hey they were scripted)

On the show the whole idea was to portray the administration as weak and innefective and the only thing that would protect America was a strong and constant military presence everywhere...private military and public military.

At first I was intriqued when I started watching the video that someone in Hollywood would come out calling publicly to rid the country of the scourge of Obama. He actually went that far as to say he needed to be removed from office...

But...

and here is where it gets scary...same reasoning as '24'...he went so far as to say as his primary reason was Obama is leaving Israel undefended...

What the heck? It's not a state of the union, it's not our country...why the heck should an American President be qualified first and foremost as Israel's protector?

Now I am no fan of Obama, and I was no fan of Bush, or Clinton, or Bush, or Regan, or Carter, or Ford, or Nixon, or Johnson or Kennedy and that covers my life time...

I think the corporations run the country and the President is just in the number one sales/advertising/public relations job.

What have we really had so far with Obama? Really it's just all been a continuation of Bush.

I think just about everything that's happened since the election would have happened whether it was Hillary, or Romney, or McCain, or Edwards (well except haircuts would cost more with Edwards) or Biden, or Huckabee or Rudy (I think we would have had more White House cross dressing with Rudy)...

Maybe...and it's a big maybe, had Ron Paul won election he would have actually been his own man...but he would probably already have been assissinated by now...he might end up the first Congressman killed in office at the rate he is going.

The two party system is a fraud, the people who run for the offices are frauds, and until people see that it's the corporations that are running the economy and the country, the nation is just going to keep sliding deeper into the abyss.

Do you really want to know what "Redistribution of Wealth is?"

It's not to poor black Americans or other disenfranchised minorities or the working poor!

It's a global redistribution of wealth. The wealth of American industry which is what generates wealth has been redistributed...that's what the redistribution of wealth is all about...turning emerging markets where everyone does not already have a SUV and a flat screen TV and a PC into countries whose populations now get the jobs we once had so they can go out and buy what they never could afford or have access too...buy the things that American corporations manufacture, but manufacture now overseas, and buy them with money they make working for American corporations...not here in America but overseas.

That's the actual redistribution of wealth Obama was talking about, that's what all the bailouts are about, positioning the corporations to dominate foreign markets where they can tap into billions of new consumers to make billions in profits they can no longer make in over saturated markets here.

We get to become poor now!

Yeah!

The crowd reacts, accepts poverty and exchange liberty in the process.

Lets all celebrate the destruction of our country!

For the trillions of our tax dollars they are wasting, you'd think they could at least pay for the drinks.

Scary, indeed.

To compare the Black Panthers to the KKK betrays a horrific ignorance.
You obviously know nothing about the Panthers. It is a common misconception that they had an ethnocentric platform. They did not. They were socialists.

To claim a current affiliation with the Black Panthers is to tell a lie. The group simply doesn't exist anymore. It is only public ignorance that allows that to happen. It's like me saying I'm a suffragette. Just doesn't make sense.

I mean, seriously, just click the Wikipedia link I put in my last post...read the first line...it'll take 10 seconds out of your day...you'll see...

One more thing, and I believe this is ON topic, since the topic itself is a manifestation of unabashed ignorance...

The President of the United States does not run the Department of Justice. He can't "drop charges." So, that's one more false accusation you've leveled against the poor guy...

A President can pardon someone, but can't charge them, or drop charges.

You didn't go to high school, did you?

I thought it would be easy for you to use, and wouldn't scare you. Look, if you really need to argue, I can provide at least a dozen other sources to verify the FACT that the original Black Panther party is defunct.

But, if you really want to argue, you should make sure your position is correct before "spouting off," my friend...

have you ever admitted to being wrong about anything?

Hmmm typical left wing response there.........cant really pose any facts to back up your arguements, so to refute the fact that im right, you attack me personally......

sorry man, your arguments dont hold water.........by all means, feel free to educate yourself more on your wikipedia links........

BTW im fully aware that the president doesnt have this power, lthe decision was made by his appointees with his CONSENT.......

one does not have to hold the gun the gun to be an accessory to murder........

Dude, you have no right to claim factual accuracy. I've pointed out two factual errors in your arguments so far.

You remind me of the third grade dude, seriously...I know you are but what am I type stuff, refusing to read or think for yourself...

It really is scary and from where I sit my friend in my humble opinion that's pretty much what has happened and is happening.

Jump starting the economy through manufacturing would have been simple, make billions availabe to American Corporations and Entrepeneurs who want to buy property and buildings for the expressed purpose of making a tangible real physical product that people the world over will buy, make it here in America, hire documented American workers and hire than at a living wage...

How hard could that be, sure it would take a couple of years to get all those companies up and running, but just doing that would have created millions of jobs and created millions of paychecks.

Instead we hand all this money to the banks that have tightened credit markets further not loosened them up, and the only lending they are doing in any bulk is simply restructuring existing mortgages on the books already which entails no fresh outlay of cash. Wells Fargo says Walks with Fish you can't afford to pay us 1995.62 per month anymore, how does 983.76 work for you? No money is changing hands, there are no brokers or commissions involved. That's all the banks have been doing. People with A1 credit ratings are constantly being turned down on cars and mortgages still as of today.

So where did the trillions go? Guess what part of GM is insanely profitible?
GM China...number one car producer in the number one car market.

Ford is the number one car producer in Russia!

Meanwhile my 1968 Wolkswagen Micro Bus needs a new engine!

Scare me? My friend i hate to burst your ego bubble , but there is nothing about any debate with you that scares me.

Please, by all means provide me with some links to the fact that NONE of the black panthers are still in operation?

Back on topic

This black panthers banter were goign about, is just another one of the instances where this man , has brought change.......hes changed it so its ok for others to spout their racial rhetoric and press their views on other people, where if it were white people , there would be marching in the streets
