As the title on The Daily Grail states "Cthulhu descends!"

Probably not, but perhaps the most interesting lightning I have ever seen. Maybe this is what ate the Air France flight? (that is a joke, please dont agree)

I remember one night watching a thunderstorm across the sound in Tacoma. The lightning was pink and just crawling all over the clouds. One of the friends I was sharing a brew with called it "apocalypse lightning" - I figure that's as good a term as any.

Gotta love the earth's little static-charge caused wads of plasma

That is certainly one strange piece of lightning. It's amazing what nature does sometimes

I have two responses for this thread....

Assuming it's just lighning, which...hahaha...I'm sure it is...
Very cool! Love a good thunder storm myself and that's intensely interesting.

But, just in case...
All hail the squidning! Bow to your new masters puny mortals!!

I think, but you should really ask oz the weatherman, that this is a sprite.

(A form of lightning going upwards into the atmosphere)

That is crazy looking lightning! Reminds me of the lightning in War of the Worlds. Watch out for any seismic activity in the near future!

Lightning is so beautiful. Having spent most of my life in upstate NY, when I was younger and traveled across the country there was a beautiful storm as we were passing through Kansas. I never saw lightning light up the whole sky like that before. It was like the whole sky was one huge trees with the limbs reaching everywhere in sight. One of my favorite memories of the trip. Nice find, did you take that film yourself?
