Glass Rain

Stop the rain. Reminder of all things broken
A cascade of memories, revolting
Unwelcome visions of past, flashing
Strangling beauty as it withers away
The last of the worlds appeal lost
Exhaled with a final breath
Days of laughter buried deep beyond wrenching sorrow
Seems so far behind... a smiling sky... sunshine laden promise
All demolished
The joys and "could be's"
Washed away in the rain that day...
Showered in glass as it spun her in a moment of glimmer
As if she were a porcelain statuette being smashed to the ground
And the droplets bounce upon her face, rhythmically, in glowing misery
And it's all in red
The rain is blood and glass surrounds her
No more shining splendor as reality crashes
Just deaths gift packaged pretty, especially for her
And in sardonic mockery, the rain veils her tears
As a thousand dreams flash for an instant and wave goodbye

Iam chosen as a saint tonight
I will swallow your bile that you spit into me tonight
I will dig into my soul so deep , and not show you what your hate has sown
Iam with love tonight and you will never know
Iam dancing with angels tonight, no hate will flow
Tears swallowed, pride trampled, my place shown
I cannot change what I cannot own
The demon has flown, my patience blown.
Under this magicians starlight
I wish true God I could just take flight.

Spaced in Gray

Hopelessly trapped
Between darkness and distant light
Being in black is not so bad
You still feel something there
Anything better than zero
Even when it's all wrong

Nothingness comes in gray
All misted, blurred, unreal
You find your death here
Souls frozen, hearts numb
No cares, no consciousness
Not a thing to matter enough
to see us through the fog

We can escape
A flash of distant light
Carries hope on it's wings
Reach up and out
to grab a mere droplet
If we can hold on, we can be free

"sleep off your sickness"
said the Mexican fairy.
With his round glasses
and his two buck teeth.
"Go out and find
a job; the world
is full of intresting
things to do"
"Get away from
the keyboard and

"What a pathetic
computer geek
you have become"

U shld bee ashamed!
ur fat and ugly and
you have only yourself
to blame.

No wonder your wife
sleeps with her bridge partner.

What am I doing here ?
Whose skin is this ?
Mother ?
Oh that's right mother
You died twelve years ago
I haven't felt your presence in a long time
Not since we sold the house
And you killed the new owner's dog
I hope you found peace
I hope we all do
Because this planet is a piece of # mother
I still have plenty of resentments mother
But I don't drink them away
How nice of you to share your disease
Not just the alcoholism but the neurosis as well
Dad was passive in life as were his genes
I look like dad mother but inside I'm all you
# you mother

I miss you constantly
And it's been twenty four years
Time flies when your family dies
I have resentments towards you as well
But you did your best and you were a great man
If I was half the man I would be a saint
Why didn't you ever tell mom to go # herself ?
I hope you found peace
God knows you didn't have it in life
Working three jobs as a kid
Going to war as a kid
Getting blown apart as a kid
Living with the # that was my mother
Your best day was the day your heart exploded

You were so young
I was only five when you got sick
Why did you get the cancer ?
Why ?
You fought it for a long time
But it was the liver cancer...a death sentence
It was probably from Nyanza
You spent a lot of time around there as a kid
One of the worst super fund sites
You went to college and came back right away
Your legs were swolen and red...I remember
They did a biopsy and found the cancer
I think letting the air in made it thrive
You fought it for four years
In and out of the hospital
I couldn't visit you in the hospital because I was too young
At the end I guess it was better
You were in rough shape with blood vessels bursting everywhere
Bruises covered your body I was told by mom and dad
Dad was pretty sure the nurse gave you a lethal injection at the end
God bless you Danny...I hope you found peace also
Your life was so short
It would have been nice to grow up with my big brother
It wasn't your fault
Sometimes I wish it was me instead of you
Most of the time I just don't know what the # happened to my family
