Obama requesting female reporters' release on "humanitarian grounds" VS. The same guy not releas, page

So what's the difference between these asian-american women being jailed for a valid offense (US President Barack Obama says he would do everything within his power and would use all possible leverages to release two American journalists jailed in North Korea.) and the many innocent people jailed and tortured at Guantanamo Bay for any number of reasons, even if they've been proven completely innocent or not guilty of any of the charges?

The innocents at GB have been treated/tortured the same as the most hardened 'terrorists' there, without any real compassion or action from our government, but these girls who broke plainly spelled out laws are getting special treatment and extra compassion from the american people? And People are just sitting around watching it all unfold?

Edit: It'd be nice if this site stopped you from typing out a big long title instead of just cutting it off/in half without any word of what was actually said.
