Sweden’s Pirate Party, which wants an internet filesharing free-for-all, is one of the surprise entrants to the European Parliament after winning 7.4 per cent of the vote.

The party, which also wants to beef up internet privacy, was founded in January 2006 and quickly attracted members angered by Swedish laws that criminalise filesharing and authorise the monitoring of e-mails.

It is refreshing to see a group in power that actually understands what they are talking about when it comes to the internet. It is difficult to watch a bunch of people passing laws regulating a tool that they are completely ignorant about.

Here here Karlhungis.

Even that BNP guy stands up for what he believes in and isnt a puppet (At least he hasnt shown himself to be yet.)

We need more people in ALL governments whom are willing to stand up for that they believe in. Instead of being mindless suits for TPTB.

Socialism is like Skiing-
You feel as though you are in control and moving forward with frightening rapidity when in reality you are descending, due to forces outside your control, back into the valley from whence you crawled.

The pirate party is not socialist and will, from what I have heard, join the liberal block in the European Parliament.
