May I butt in? I think you are on the right track but you aren't going far enough. If we are going to meander into economic mudslinging; why not go all the way and blame the very Keynesian economic theory that, ostensibly, pushed us to the point of requiring regulation in the very first place.

The problem is people blame free market ideas as if they have actually been tried for extended periods of time. Truth is, we haven't had anything remotely -emphasis on remotely- close to a free market since the 1900's.

since the 1900's....

The free market of the 1900's had no rules, regulations and poverty was rife throughout.

The free market enabled the manipulation and buying up of a good majority of the economy - pre/during GD.

How would minimum wage work???

Eat your hand for your 2 minute sleep break?

Lets address modern failures not arcane possibilities-

Wheres my horse???????????

www.ftc.gov...

Oh the same company insured it, bought it, sold it and sold its policy, to itself.

There's nothing wrong with regulation, when it does not interfere with free commerce. But when it goes beyond it's intent and starts setting prices or wages, then it has gone too far. And when regulatory agencies fail to do their job, like the SEC did with Madoff, then they need to be changed or eliminated.

Jesus, you're not even gonna try to deny it, are you?

But is it on our behalf that you do violence, or on your own behalf? So far as I've seen you guys are pretty self-serving. You'd rather lose a major American city like Los Angeles than reveal your precious secrets. Or maybe you know nothing about that. I understand that honesty is not the status quo over at the Pentagon. I wouldn't be too surprised if you actually believed in your own (SNIP)

You like quotes? Here's a better one:

"The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral,
begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy.
Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it.
Through violence you may murder the liar,
but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth.
Through violence you may murder the hater,
but you do not murder hate.
In fact, violence merely increases hate.
So it goes.
Returning violence for violence multiplies violence,
adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness:
only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."

-- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Mitt would have been the perfect man to repair our economy instead of backwards Obama.
Sarah's dirty laundry has already been exposed and she weathered the fire storm retaining her high poll rating. So what else can they dig up that they haven't already? She will also be 4 years more experienced than she was before.
what say you?

I say You are a sheeple and You need to stop listening and watching the MSM. We need third party because both parties are traitors. If You can't figure that out something is either seriously wrong or You don't care about Your country. Maybe people like You will wake up one day but I seriously doubt it unless a civil war breaks out.

I say some of us live in the real world where we know a third party has no chance in hell to win (sorry hun, it is just the way it is) what we must do is repair the Republican party and kick all the moderates out.

Kicking all the moderates out is a sure way of losing in 2012.

Has it occurred to any of you guys that most Americans simply don't agree with your ideas anymore?

That this may be because (gasp!) those ideas have largely failed, in practice?

I voted for Obama, just to insure that McCain did not win. Next time, I will vote for ALMOST ANYONE to insure that Obama does not win. I will look at who has a chance to beat Obama and vote for them. All of my friends voted as I did in the last election and will probably vote the way I plan to in the next.

Obama has proven himself to be a big liar to me and none of his change seems to be positive. So, I will vote for the next liar who comes along.

well McCain proved you wrong here, h was supposed to bring the moderates in and look what happened.

Has it occurred to any of you guys that most Americans simply don't agree with your ideas anymore?

so you do belive the msms don't you... HUGE misconception. the conservatives in America largely outnumber the mods and the libs...you should worry, this place is going to turn around again back to the Reagan days...I'm just sorry the next president will spend his entire time undoing Obama's mess.

That this may be because (gasp!) those ideas have largely failed, in practice?

Failed??? please compare the numbers between Reagan/Bush years and Obama's HALF a year. failed will be Obama's legacy.

where we failed is letting the mods take over the party.
that mistake will soon be corrected.

Forget about stopping him in 2012... You should focus on stopping him NOW!

Pressure your elected representatives, don't let them vote yes to any more of his and his administration's as well as the extreme left majority party's plans that are all about the destruction of the economy to rebuild a fascist/socialist system in its place... Stop them, and then focus on 2010!

Fire them all.... By 2012 Obama will be a complete lame duck with very little power and no chance of reelection. Then the years of undoing the additional damage they have already done can begin.

To do otherwise will mean that you fully will accept the destruction of this nation, and your current life and status for third worldly membership as a socialist citizen of a new world.

Don't let them do this, and then have regrets you will be unable to reconcile. There will be no going back if they are not stopped and SOON.

You're simply kidding yourself if you actually believe this.

because real conservatives DIDN'T vote for McCain!!!
wait until a true conservative runs and energizes the base.

Moderates need not apply...

Maybe people like me. In my 20+ years of voting, I never voted democrat before, and only did so this time to send out a message.

Well there is surely some truth to that.

I don't think most Americans identify very strongly with any party or ideology - and I think that's good

Obama didn't win because McCain "wasn't conservative enough", or because everyone in America suddenly became screaming liberals, Obama largely won IMO because the last administration was a huge disaster, and they wanted to go in a different direction.

As I said, I don't regret my choice, which doesn't mean I won't complain when Obama does things I think are stupid or wrong.

You should look at yourself in the mirror and practice a few more times before saying such things. Unlike you, nobody pays me to speak as I do. Grow up? Don't make me laugh.

You fight so hard to hold on to your dim, loveless little world that you'll ultimately catalyze the very change you so desperately hoped to demolish. All the time and money poured into these farcical NWO propaganda tirades trying to convince people that Obama is the Antichrist fall in line with every other piece of baseless fear pornography that has permeated these communities since the beginning. The people are not sheep to be herded; they are not victims to be coddled; they are not marks to be exploited; they are the children of the Infinite Creator. As masters of our own destinies, there is nothing you can do to stop the people of the world from awakening to the truth. The era of fiercely tight-lipped officials and their secrets is all but over.

It's interesting to note your reference to 2012 in the title. The end of that year marks the end of a twenty year cyclical period of transition from the old into the new. This late in the game, it really doesn't matter if Obama is a villain or not. There's not a disease you can engineer, nor a collapse you can orchestrate, nor a monster you can unleash that will bring it all down. There's no big red button you can push either, contrary to popular belief. Change is an unstoppable force and you, Mr. Agent, are not, nor do you represent an immovable object.

Fear is the absence of love. Do you understand this? It's laughably easy to disintegrate a negative vibe with a positive one. Mock my words all you like. The fact remains that you're on the losing side. I know these shadowy cabals are all out of money and soon won't have enough to pay people like you to maintain the ruse. It won't be long at all before people like you will simply vanish.

Change is not a political platform. It is a universal constant. The popcorn's ready. We're all waiting for the crescendo, the climax. The black hats lose by default, so all that's left is to pick your poison. But by all means, continue to do what you've always done. It won't work anymore, but go on! Entertain us.
