People while the debate is good and it can get heated, don't let it spoil your experience in ATS, we all from different backgrounds, races, political views and countries, yes ATS have many members from other nations.

They have the same rights to express their opinions as anybody else in the US.

Like other members has pointed out, the policies of the US toward the world and the world toward the US are interconnected and they affect each other regardless what president is in power.

America is the biggest consumer of the world and the most indebted because of that when Americas economy is in trouble so the rest of our "trading partners" are in trouble too.

Lets cool down for a bit, OK.

" If Obama was truly a great leader Bush would of already been arrested for war crimes and crimes against humanity. He aint. I have no faith in Obama."

OK - I understand ! I can understand this very well but there you have it !! do you then want a revolution ? of course it should be better to put BUSH in jail but please do understand one moment that this is NOT possible in the actual circumstances !!! anything takes time to get accomplished !! do you live in democracy ? I think so ! so how can you put BUSH in jail without making a revolution in USA ? do you think that is so easy to realise ?? Forget BUSH, his time is gone but history doesn't stop ( 9/11 still full of questions also !! ) and one day maybe we will get our revenge !! but for now I think we must let OBAMA continue to make the best out of it - not destroying him with old wives trickery !

Politics are a touchy issue overall...and on a site like this, you have alot of progressive thinking and passionate (and wacky) people...

the question here is...who can we blame in 2012 for being a stooge and popup liar to the people...because no matter who sits in the office, they are going to be blamed for not releasing:
9/11 truth
ufo files
illuminati info
anti-grav tech
ghost info
proper schematics for a high tech tin foil hat
etc.

So...does it really matter what the face of the lie machine looks like? at least the rest of the world likes Obama..makes you feel alot safer when travelling abroad when people come up to you in Egypt with a smile and saying they like Obama verses coming up with a frown saying fuk bush. heh

best thing to do is look into your local community if you want to "change the world". POTUS really only minimally effects people...but your mayor and governor makes the real change you feel on a day to day.

As I said before already. If Obama was a the great leader you make him out to be then Bush and his cabal would of already been arrested for war crimes. And I am not even speaking about the inside job I am only talking about all his crimes related to the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Will I give Obama a chance? Heck no! He is a Kenyan born cheater himself.

Do I think his agenda can be stopped? NO.

Also Witness2008 you say Mr. GeorgePatrick was being courteous. He has a warn under his name because the Mods have warned him over his telling me to go suicide. I tried to intercede for him and get him to the ATS handbook before he got the warn but they beat me to it.

I also have issue with georgepatricks posting out of ignorance. I mean if he understood our political system, How every state has a constitution and how our federal constitution is written and how the USCC supersedes the US constitution for some unconstitutional reason, IF HE UNDERSTOOD ALL THAT then I would respect his opinion more.... that and if he could spell in english better.... Its obvious english is not his first language.

But as it is mr. George Patrick seems to be in love with the Idea of Obama and don't get me wrong. Obama is charismatic but he is not the savior many make him out to be. He is just a man doing his part to further other peoples agendas at the expense of the US people and others nations abroad.

NOTE: We are still in Iraq and Afghanistan and despite his pledges to pull out, we are committing even more troop to the unconstitutional war.

sorry if I was not courteous !! but I do not want to be agressiv !! I am not a neocon macho !! I just want you to understand that I do not understand your negativ attitude against OBAMA ! I think that I did speak much too clear, maybe much too expressive ! but I'm NOT pessimist, maybe you are ...
if I did speak about suicide, that's only a expression and maybe I did look a bit agressiv : no no, I am just too positiv about this world and our possibilities to change it : here in Europ and over there at yours !! otherwise it's better to ....

I said he was not being uncourtiuos. But I stand corrected with the suicide comment.

I had no idea of your service, and let me tell you right now how grateful I am for that service. I have three sons all of service age and I can only imagine the sacrifice of your family...my hat is off to you and yours.

I think the world at large is feeling desperate and on edge and there would be two camps here. I am in the camp of optimists, Obama is in office and there is four years of opportunity or four years of more missteps.

I honestly believe his honest communication with the Islamic world and of Israel is a step that has been needed for some time now. We shall just have to wait for that outcome.

As for the bailout and stimulus, the former being handed to him on a silver platter upon his arrival into office, the latter is to head off at the pass even greater financial instability. Investing in the people of this country was indeed a good move.

Each of my five children have felt the positive effects of his presidency and I pray that you and your family can feel the same very soon.

It's always refreshing to see another perspective from afar. You are correct in your observations. It is sad for me to see so many of my fellow citizens secretly hoping that Obama will fail....how political dogma and the color of skin can trump the advancement of ones own country is beyond me.

I agree, it is always refreshing to hear a view from someone with an outside perspective- and I agree with others that American politics does effect things in other countries.

now as for Political Dogma, and worse skin color trumping the advancement of America.. I will have to disagree there (with your assumption that this is what it's all about.. skin color and party lines)..

Do I want Obama to fail? In advancing a socialized society, rapidly expanding Federal Authority, raising taxes, creating new ones, continuing Bush War policies, less freedom and more regulation? You bet your a** I want him to fail in those regards.. just like I wanted Bush to fail in some of the same regards.

I don't care what the 'majority' of Americans want or don't want.. I have a Bill of Rights that will not be stripped from me. Democracy is fine until you try to run me over with your ideas.. then we have problems. Our Country was founded on principles that would allow liberals and conservatives.. Christians and Atheists.. to live together in a peaceful and beneficial way for everyone- that is why we need to get back to those core ideals.

and before I hear anything from anyone about not being from the US because my profile says Mexico- I am an American. No I didn't vote for Bush either..

Stereotypes of each other is what feeds their power. They keep us divided over issues that are not even suppose to be issues in America.

So sad .. too bad. :shk:

Sorry, but that's not 'one of the highest approval ratings in history'.
It's solid. But it's not 'one of the highest'.

Old wives? :shk:

Exposing Obama's lies and the bad things he is doing isn't an old wives club breaking down Obama ... it's just exposing him for what he is ... pathetically bad for America.

I do not understand your negativ attitude against OBAMA

Then you need to educate yourself on what he is doing. Read the threads.
Learn about his lies. Learn about his nafarious underworld connections.
Learn about his broken promises. Learn about how he is nothing more
than a tool of the NWO. Learn about his racism. Learn all about him.
Don't just read the pretty stuff by the MSM that elevates him to god-status.
Learn the truth. Then you will understand. In the mean time, quit
punching people who are educated and who do understand what this
lawyer-politician really is all about.

Where has Obama socialized any part of our society. And if you had a president that stripped away the social programs that have existed for many years would you be happy with never receiving medicare, safe roads, free education, firefighters, police, the FAA, a fierce standing army or a social security check?

The only expansion of federal authority that has been put down in print would be that of the financial institutions. Have you seen more?

This country has not seen any increase in taxes but some at certain income levels have seen a decrease.

As far as the war policies I have unfortunately not seen the change I need to see...but he has indeed taken the steps to make the hatred from the more extreme around the world less sharp denying them the tools to recruit.

You make an excellent point regarding oil prices.
During the campaign, the discussion was hot and heavy regarding what should be done. All candidates promised immediate action.

Of course, nothing has been done, except the promise of higher taxes in the form of Cap and Trade. Which will do nothing to fix the problem but only worsen it.

Right now we should be acting on it. All it will take is one oil supplier to turn off the taps to us and all prices will skyrocket.

I don't believe I mentioned the things that he has done, only the things he wants to do but ok.. on socializing: any and every corporation that received money from the Federal Bailouts. Banks, Auto.. Also, he supports socializing our health care.

Would I be happy with all of the programs you mentioned being cut.. most if not all of them (I will need to go back and read your list), but yes.. No one owes me anything, and the government sure as hell doesn't owe any of my money to others.. Charity and private contribution is fine. I do plenty of that.

What has he done to expand the Federal Government? You mentioned my main concern, and again.. wait and see- he's just getting started. Also remember that I am not attacking Obama.. I am attacking his policies. The same thing I did with Bush.

He has done nothing to amount any progress in the Middle East.. all he did was further isolate our only 'true' ally in the Region. Yeah,
Obama. Nice one.

We need to get our troops back in America. Military is to be used for protection, not expansion. We should be returning from all of our bases overseas, not just the wars.

Where has Obama socialized any part of our society.

The federal gov't now owns 60% of GM. If that isn't socialism, I don't know what is.

There was once a popular saying: "As GM goes, so goes the nation". Unfortunately, that will be true as long as Obama is in power.

we are all citizens of this world... Ah yes, this is the CFR in action and what Obama is pushing for. Being of french canadian decent living in the United States, I can only dread the upcoming North American Union and truly hope that them Kanucks up north will not be dupe to this scam considering that the European Union is already in a state of flux, here is an interesting article to outline the upcoming problem

Mexico might be willing but what is certain is with Obama in power, the wheels are already in motion to create that North American Union. Not that I have any qualms toward Mexicans or Americans or English Canada but I would like to keep our respective countries as they are and not all in one big loving family.

This is what Obama stands for and the CFR (Council of Foreign Relations) is following right behind him.

He is not magical nor can he wave a wand to make the world better overnight. When you want to make the world better, better fix the wrongs that is happening back home.

Israel need the US more than the US need Israel. If they are so outraged, they should stop taking the yearly 6 billion so graciously donated to them. I am sure that US citizens could use it a lot better than Israel whose soul purpose is pissing off their immediate neighbors, no wonder they are scared of enemy retaliation.

First off, please excuse any historical innacuracies, I will try to be exact.

Second, it's nice to see some more of our european brothers on this post, their insight is good to see.

Now let me get to the point. In 1933 Germany brought in a littgle guy who preached change. He nationalized his entire country one piece at a time. He took the German peoples guns, and replaced their freedoms with nationalistic "protections".
Obviously I'm try to draw a parrallel here, but with a caviat. I really don't think Obama is trying to dominate the world. I jst think he is trying to "nationalize" this country. In his mind, and of those in his administration, we are too stupid to have this much freedom. The government knows all and is in a better position to make decisions for us.
We will soon have a nationalized healthcare.
We have huge unemployment, but with the government taking over, many of those folks will be "new" government employees with Obamas "shovel-ready" programs.
Obama has taken over the Insurance indusry.
He's taken over the banking industy.
And when the price of gas goes over 4.00 a gallon he will use this as an excuse to take over the petrolleum industry.

I'm surprised thast those of you in Europe aren't screaming at the top of your lungs to warn us of this, because it happened to you!

It's not so much, "who will be our next president" as it is. . .Obama will probably be our last.

Obama has moved the US irreversibly in a number of directions. He will not have to win re-election in 2012, he has succeeded in his assigned mission. Sotomayor will be approved for the Supreme Court and that will help lock in many changes down the road. The current Republican party is simply Democrat-lite at best. True conservatives are no longer elected. The few Repugs that are elected have moved to center or farther left to compete.

People "can't handle the truth" as the truth brings restraint, fiscal responsibility and no free lunches. I am reminded at this time of FDR launching the greatest Ponzi scheme ever devised, the Social Security Act. Prior to that most people remained self-sufficient throughout their lives. When we became ill or reached advanced age prior to this, our local community and more often our extended family took responsibility for us not the government. We were not owned! But the bankers effectively destroyed communities and extended families with the stock market crash. Think of the lunacy of a government convincing its' people that when they reach a pre-determined age they will no longer be expected to support themselves and contribute. They will be cared for by their government. How scary is that premise? Well, that's what we're getting ten-fold now with Obama's nanny state. He, the new socialist government, will educate us, provide our jobs, provide "basic health-care", protect us with his civilian army and own and operate the largest institutions providing us with financial and consumable products. The "company store" so to speak.

Back to FDR briefly. Consider for a moment Linus Pauling an American scientist, engineer, peace activist, author, and educator. Considered by many as among the greatest scientists not only of his lifetime but of all time. He worked in the fields of quantum chemistry, molecular biology, and orthomolecular medicine and was the only person two win two Nobel Prizes in unrelated fields. He was the foremost proponent of treating disease with vitamins and micro-nutrients. An approach most people now consider primary to basic human health. Pauling lived to 93. Do we think for an instant that this man, author of "How to Live Longer and Feel Better", shortly after reaching the age of 65 decided "That's it, time to kick back, collect my checks and wait for death!"? Of course not. But I digress....

My point is this socialist ball started rolling many decades ago. Socialism now infects both major parties. Obama is just the latest, most ethnic and most Hollywood of socialism's faces. The race card has likely irreversibly turned the tide toward socialism. Our best "hope for change" is that he continues unfulfilling his promises and the minorities he has lied to and counts on to blindly follow him feel the pain of his lies. Only a concerted effort will defeat the Socialist agenda. There is no organized, viable, conservative opposition at present.

We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately. - Benjamin Franklin
