Fire at Penn Station?

There are reports of a lot of smoke at Penn Station, Its thought that a transformer exploded,

The NYPD are saying that the area has been evacuated and that there is a lot of smoke..

Its not thought at this moment in time that there is any injuries due to this, But a story to at least keep an eye on for the moment,

More updates:

Power is out so some sitting on trains in the dark,

The NY fire department have stated that the whole station would not be evacuated due to a transformer fire,

The explosion reportedly occurred at 32 st / 7 Ave

New York City Fire Department Say the situation is now under control and evacuation is complete,

Well thankfully this looks like a no drama situation and they have everything under full control,


I guess any fire at such a large Station is always worth looking at in case,

Only a few years ago a fire had caused panic and hundreds of people where trapped in trains when a fire broke out in an equipment room causing a few injury's,

Luckily this seems to have been a brief moment that was put under control very quickly,

Some trains are delayed but all in all everything seems fine..
