If I ruled the world
I'd do away with greed
everyone would have plenty
there'd be no one in need

I say taxes have to go
but don't work and you don't eat
everyone has to do their share
no come on what say ye....

I concur with the above
But balance can't be lost
All that we favor should be love
But even love can cost

If respect and knowledge grew
On trees as apples do
I think the orchard of the world
Might simply be too few

If I ruled the world I say
I'd gather all the people
I'd educate the masses too
With love and balance equal

But man cannot seem to learn
Without suffering just some
I wish it really wasn't so
Even though it seems dumb

Time will tell I hope so much
I hope someday we find
That world peace is not so far
But deep, oh deep inside

The world is a pretty big place to rule,
"Don't be cruel, to a heart that's true",
So manage with love and back it with passion,
"Imagine", in your own way and your own little fashion,
How you want it to be.

But if you see . ."Tears of a clown",
Stay focused, . . "Don't bring me down",
And if you do rid us, of taxes and greed,
Of hatred gone rampant in blood that we bleed,
Then . .I will follow you.

an illusion, I think, to want to rule
a ruse given time in the mind of a fool
A gold embossed boot pressed on to a neck
Unbridled power that no one could check

Unless I approve, you dare not think
the privilege, the splendor, of naught you would drink
the best of the harvest saved always for me
with a wave of my hand, you cease to be

wines and fresh fruits laid down at my feet
I couldn't care less if your children eat
just bring me your daughters when they come of age

compassion and patience they have no place here
no need for respect when you cower in fear
your silence required and the bow of your head
protest me your fools and your streets will run red

consuming all things till not one is left
beauty and love in this world now bereft
the same iron fist that I smashed on your head
reaches for more as my body lies dead

My forced loyal subjects have looted my throne
my fattened, vain flesh now rots off my bone
the people are happy and now they can sing
happy to spit on the corpse of their king

I thought I could rule and forever I'd live
control my emotions, benevolence give
but then I felt power and you mattered not
I guess in the end I deserve what I got

If I ruled the world
I would put an end to rules
Or at least rulers...
But then there would be chaos
Quite the double edged sword
You can't pick your relatives
And you really can't pick the important politicians
And you have no idea who really rules the world
No matter how hard you try

So if I ruled the world
I would have a show like American Idol
Where thousands of judges
Picked at random from the 6+ billion on the planet
Would meet every human on the planet one at a time
And decide if they should live
If not they can shoot them on the spot

Anyway...the goal is to get the number of humans on the planet
Down to a workable number
Like say...500 million...

Those that are shot
All their possessions go to the judges to split
And perhaps share with their lands of origin
Some entire lands may of course be gone
As some countries don't produce any keepable humans

I come here
on purpose,
because it is
summer and the
word hangs bitter.

The souls should relax
open up and talk
back and forth
up and down until
the virgin's vision
drunk and solid,
sees the center,
the dead tree
green again with
vines.
We spend our lives
learning how to
avoid experience.
