No I don't see it, but it sounds like a nice horror movie tag line,lol. "Do you see the box?" I do not know what is going on, others said they see it too, coould it be ISP or anti-viral software related? Who is your service provider?

What about in the links? did you guys see the box there? I not kidding, check the links, this is exactly what I see on every post every thread and even public profile. I'm trying to laugh it off but jeesh now I feel crazy.

Yes I saw the box in those, I just do not see it on my own computer. When did you notice this, when you logged in tonight?

Ya just tonight, and I'm at work so I thought maybe it was the comp so I restarted and.....same thing and I refresh and ...same thing I dunno it's just weird and I want to know what it is, I appreciate your help though.

Yea unfortunately I am no computer expert, AshleyD is better than me at that, as are MANY members on ATS. LOL, 49 replies and not one bit closer to a solution. Why don't you post this on the 'issues' thread? It might get more attention there.

I agree with AshleyD -it's most likely a problem with the image format. Since you're on IE7, it's not the browser itself - is it possible that your company/work uses a proxy that compresses images? In that case it might forget to compress the alpha layer as well.. A wild guess :p

I'm also with Ashley and the rest. This is clearly the container for the flag contribution level. I have no idea why it is not displaying properly for you but it is definately on your end and not the ATS site.

Although I think your suspicions that we might be in for some more new changes will surely prove to be correct if you wait a while. The local powers seem to be unable to resist tinkering with their toys. I still don't even know what the level means or how it is figured, and about the time I ever get curious to find out it will probably be changed

If it is happening at home you might have to do some more investigating but if it is a work problem, I would blame it on them

Here's an easy way to check whether it is some kind of image compression service from your ISP or company proxy:

Ok so i'm at home now and I do not see the box, I'm using FF. No the banana does not appear to have a black background. I think now it's got something to do with my computer at work, Thanks for all the help guys.

I use IE8 - and do not see it. So it could very well be a IE7 issue....and AshleyD's theory sounds about right.

This really does sound like some line in a psychological thriller movie: doctor in white lab coat interrogating man in dingy dark cell in basement with one tiny little light bulb hanging overhead... "do you see the white box?" "no, I do not see it" "are you sure you do not see the white box?" "no, I swear, im seeing no white box" .....
