And so it begins tonight ...

We don't have the dream matchup of Kobe versus whiney but I'm looking forward to it all the same.

So what does everyone think?

Lakers sweep?

Magic in 7?

Don't count Orlando out, they just eliminated the Cavs and it wasn't even that close.
Plus the lakers have a habit of playing down to their competition like they did against Houston.

I'm just hoping for close and quality games.

Enjoy the finals ....

Well the Lakers put a beat down on the Magic winning the first game 100 - 75.

Kobe had 40 points and Howard 12
on 1 for 6 shooting.

That ain't gonna cut it Dwight.

I hope Orlando wakes up and isn't satisfied with just reaching the finals ...

If not this could be a short series.

Reporting from my mama's basement, this is shrodidog for ATSSports.

Wow, great game tonight ...

Final score of game 2, Lakers beat the Magic 101 -96 in overtime.

Orlando played much better and had an excellent chance to win it in regulation. But they missed a point blank with 0.6 seconds to go.

The Lakers then basically took over the game.

So they're up two games to zero and Orlando will be kicking themselves for missing the opportunity to beat the Lakers in LA.

Obviously next game is a must win for the Magic, should they go down 3 - 0 in the series they will probably get swept like they did last time they made it to the finals.

Yeah, they'd better win game 3 or it's over. I have a feeling they will win.

King James was a big disappointment, no?

Yeah Kobe will be hard pressed to win number 3 here in Orlando. I think this is gonna be a long one.

Well lookie what we have ourselves here ..

An ACTUAL series!

Orlando takes game 3 of the NBA Finals 108 - 104

The Magic offense finally showed up scoring over 100 points for the first time in this series.

I still believe that Orlando has to win games 4 and 5 to have a chance to win the title but a least for tonight they can actually feel like they belong in the final.

Only two days till game four ...

I can't wait.

Well just wrapping this baby up ...

This thread was about as exciting as the finals themselves.

So the Lakers take this forgettable series 4 games to 1.

Like I said in earlier posts Orlando needed to win all 3 home games to have any chance to win the championship.

Once they lost game 4 in overtime the lady was snacking and singing.

Just like game 2, the Magic really should have taken game 4. When they look back at this series they will rue they inability to close those two games down. Too bad, cause but for a play here and there, it really had a chance to be a quality series.

Congratulations to the Lakers and their fans on winning the championship, and also to the Magic and their fans on a great season.

My early prediction for next year ... Knicks win!

You gotta be kidding me, LeBron RUNS the Cavaliers, thats why the never make it to the finals, because he has to carry the team all the time.

Now that Shaq is coming over to the Cavs, he might give LeBron the help they need to rise up past playoffs.

As for Lakers wining the Finals, I am very ashamed. I thought the magic could do better and they failed me. Worse yet, I hate Kobe, and to watch him run away as finals MVP disappoints me even more.
