help with encouraging scriptures

I Wonder if anyone can help me,i have a friend who is suffering very badly with depression we(my husband )and i regularly send him a card with a little letter trying to encourage him ,we usually incorporate a scripture but were running out of scriptures to use ....any ideas :bn

my friend is also epileptic i don't know if this has anything to do with his depression.

Why stick to scripture only?

You should try music. Music has a way of speaking to the soul and can be very helpful. Whenever I'm feeling blue, I just throw on some tunes.

I don't know what kind of music your friend may like, but this song usually cheers me up. Kind of an all purpose pick me up.
