I believe it is called "checking things out". The mentality of "how does that matter" is just a request or suggestion to not consider every scrap of information available. As dumb as it may sound to you...some people might not want to buy a car from a guy whose Father's name is Hitler. Most people, I think, would like to know absolutely everything possible before spending thousands of dollars. Maybe we should want the same level of information before electing a President.

Or is the dollar more important than our freedom?

Obama’s top legal pick: Sharia law could appy in U.S. courts Harold Koh.

Say he wants to establish Sharia in America?

Would that be ok with you?

Actually a little dose of morality wouldn't be a bad thing.

10. Islam commands that drinkers and gamblers should be whipped.

9. Islam allows husbands to hit their wives even if the husbands merely fear highhandedness in their wives.

. Islam allows an injured plaintiff to exact legal revenge—physical eye for physical eye.

Islam commands that a male and female thief must have a hand cut off

6. Islam commands that highway robbers should be crucified or mutilated.

5. Islam commands that homosexuals must be executed.

4. Islam orders unmarried fornicators to be whipped and adulterers to be stoned to death

. Islam orders death for Muslim and possible death for non—Muslim critics of Muhammad and the Quran and even sharia itself.

2. Islam orders apostates to be killed.

Islam commands offensive and aggressive and unjust jihad.

One of the most tragic and under—reported occurrences in the West in recent years is the existence of a sharia court in Canada. Muslims are pushing for a sharia divorce courting Australia as well. Having a court of arbitration if it is based on western law and legal theory is legitimate, but sharia does not hold to this standard. Whether sharia is imposed gradually or rapidly, Canada should promptly shut down any sharia court, and Australia should never allow one. Such a court should never be permitted in the US, the rest of the West, or anywhere else in the world that is battling Islam.

So I guess that means "shut up" and stop voicing our opinions? Is that what you are actually suggesting on a site called "Above Top Secret" to a bunch of people who are only here to learn and offer opinions?

Is that how you suggest ruling the country..."Shut up"?

LOL SOMEBODY CITED PASCAL'S WAGER! Pascal's wager is ridiculously stupid - there are so many different religions with so many different gods that saying "what if you're wrong?" applies to every belief of every kind. What if you're wrong about christianity and Zeus is the true god? What if you're wrong about judaism and Hinduism is the true religion? What if you're wrong about Islam and Scientology is correct?

Pascal's wager is ridiculous - to say "you better be part of my religion or you'll go to hell!" is BEYOND silly, especially because there are SO MANY religions, all of which consider the other religions to be incorrect and worthy of burning and suffering BECAUSE they're incorrect.

Furthermore, Pascal's wager assume that there's only two possibilities - god exists and he will reward you for believing or punish you for not believing. But even if there is a god, it might not even CARE about belief. God might reward individuals based on their actions and whether they tried to be a good person or not in their life. God might PUNISH blind faith, or faith for the sake of trying to get a reward. God might just reward people based on their kindness, honesty, valor, compassion, etc REGARDLESS of faith. God might even reward those who at least attempt honest, logical reasoning and punish those who don't think.

Pascal's wager is ridiculous because it assumes that only two things are possible and that god will only reward based on belief. But the assumptions are fundamentally flawed, especially because in most religions simple belief isn't enough to get a reward from god or like I said, god might not even care about belief at all.

Finally, how about the anti-wager: What if god DOESN'T exist and YOU'RE wrong?

Suppose we grant that there is indeed some small chance that God exists. Nevertheless, it could be said that you will lead a better, fuller life if you bet on his not existing, than if you bet on his existing and therefore squander your precious time on worshipping him, sacrificing to him, fighting and dying for him, etc.

Not to mention the "57" states slip that just rolled right off of his tongue during a town hall meeting... people can say "Oh, he was just tired and said the wrong number...", well that may be true but it is awful interesting that there happens to be 57 Islamic states (shouldn't the "FUTURE PRESIDENT OF THE U.S. know how many U.S. states there are??? I mean, really...)

Obama 57 States Gaffe
