We all know exactly where this is all going. It has been in the works for a long long time. I don't mean to frighten anyone or be so blunt but there seems to be an aire of doubt or disbelief on these threads and I am here to tell you this ain't no joke. You will have no one to blame but yourself if you are standing there with your peepee in your hands when the "S" goes down.

Love you all and hope we can make it through this.

Your sooo right.."S" is getting ready to hit the fan...
I started stocking up on food 6 months ago, and although it is not much, it's a start. LOTS of rice, some can goods, but mostly I dehydrate veggies and fruits, with a food dehydrator I purchased at Walmart. Everyday, I matter how small... I also recently moved to a home in a small town, but on the edge of town..I have walnut trees, a creek, groundhogs, muskrats, fish, and best of all I have a very large garden, mostly beans, peas, and onions..
I've also stocked up on matches, flashlights, and purchased a generator. While everyone I know, took thier income tax returns and purchased big screens, or went on vacations..I used mine for food, and things one would need, just incase "S" hits the fan...everyone laughed at me...
I don't think they are laughing now

Good for you!

Consider putting together a B.O.B. Bug out bag.
A backpack packed to the gills with everything one would need in order to survive a few nights or weeks in the woods. Also I would strongly advise
a hand held water filter. The kind you can dip into a river or puddle or toilet for that matter. It will filter out 99.999 percent of harmful bacteria and loads of other crap you wouldn't want to ingest.
I just got my second one today at Wal-mart. It is an unassuming waterbottle with a built in filter. You can dip it into the river and walk away with fresh water. Every time you take a drink it filters the water before it gets to your mouth.

Only $40.
All the food in the world won't mean jack squat without fresh drinking water.
Fresh drinking water will be more valuable than all of the Gold some people are stashing away. All the gold coins in the world would not be able to buy that $40 water bottle from me in 6

Without giving too many details out to protect myself; today our very large company held an all hands projectwide meeting detailing extreme cost cutting measures for the project we are working on (we have projects all over the world and the similar story is emerging everywhere), the owner which we are doing the project for is a very large company and is extremely strapped for cash and most employees of said company elected to have pay cuts or get an early retirement.

What ever that means in the big picture is not good in my opinion, there is alot of talk going on in the industry... Folks, there are rocky times ahead of us (my opinion of course)

Hmm Power companies are not allowed to have problems. When power companies have problems we all will have much more problems come our way. Here is another link to the dollar decline. It has some pretty good information.

Value of the U.S. Dollar

You are right the increased unsustainable deficit that US is getting into is making our "trade partners" and debt borrowers very concern.

If You Are Stressed Now, Just Wait

Already countries like Russia's central bank now holds a larger proportion of its reserves in euros than in U.S. dollars. On May 18, the Financial Times reported that China and Brazil are considering bypassing the dollar and conducting their mutual trade in their own currencies. Other reports say that China has increased its gold reserves by 75 percent in recent years.

This means that they are slowly and steadily getting away from their vast US dollars holding and this just the beginning.

Our nations politicians are too arrogant to see what all this is going to get us into

Arrogant, hubris-filled American officials and their yes-men economists discount Chinese warnings, arguing that the Chinese have no choice but to support the dollar by purchasing Washington's red ink. Otherwise, they say, China stands to lose the value of its large dollar portfolio.

China investment means are very savvy and they have learned from the best they do not hold Americas well being at hart and when they are ready to strike no arrogant hubris-filled American officials will tell them how to do their business after all the now have in their employment our own for the people former elected officials to lobby for them in congress, with all the training that only tax payer money can buy.

Our nation is turning against us littler by littler and we are the ones at fault.

I agree with pretty much everything you stated, as a matter of fact I've been proclaiming this would be happening since 2007 on ATS. However, arrogance is no reason. They simply cannot do anything but continue to borrow. With economic decline, the amounts that need to be borrowed in order to keep the economy going are bigger, therefore the deficit is increasing.

My prediction: Sooner or later they will let the Dollar collapse and tell the Chinese and other treasury bond holders: screw you. Then they'll implement a new currency (Amero if you wish to call it) and create a similar system as we have in Europe. This has all been planned a long time ago but is only now implemented because of the rise of the emerging powers. It's a perfect strategy to do the most damage possible to them while '''we'' can survive with 'relatively' little damage. In the end, they will merge (in several decades) the EU and AU (not to confuse with African Union) so that the select group of powerful people will become even more powerful. The (physical) effects will be worst for non Europeans and Americans in my humble opinion. The price we pay for that is freedom.

Exactly the easy way out, just default on the debt and hope for the better, but the problem is that foreign ownership of America is now 1/4 so when US default the debt collectors will come and tear this nation apart and they are going to be all from foreign countries.

Sad future ahead.
