Having read this - I promised myself to pass on this information to you.

WARNING: the content of this post may disturb a lot of sceptical starpeople (or other aliens) and provoke negative reactions. So to all of you who do believe that they are some type of extra terrestrial being: please dismiss this post and carry on

Alright, here we go.

All of you people are not actually aliens. You have human bodies and human blood and are not aliens. You are not extra terrestrial beings.

How do you know that you are a human being? Here are 6 easy steps to find out:

1) You were born on this planet.

2) You're different in some way from anyone else - even if you are an identical twin.

3) When you want to go home, you do.

4) Other people annoy you and sometimes you annoy them.

5) You exist.

6) You socialise

So if you more or less fit any of these six descriptions, there is a 100% chance that you are a human. So don't be sad or angry if people tend to misunderstand you - you were always human to begin with. Some people may tell you that you are not, or they are not - but there is nothing to indicate that this is the truth.

Many people have different names for you:

Many of you may be from:

All of you were just born without any invitation to refuse. Your purpose is unknown, full of mystery and certainly can be emotional at times.

Most of you are fully aware of what and who you are. Most of you are trying to make further sense of everything else. All of you will die on this planet.

Many of your children will feel as you do. Some of them have ADHD syndrome. Medicating them isn't always the solution. You must encourage their social skills, instead of shutting them down.

People must lay off medicine if they don't need it. They should also stay away from alcohol and tobacco and try to be physically active.

So, there is nothing wrong with you. You are not weird, odd or unusual in any way. You are human, that's all.

You are not alone, everyone has this in common with you.

You will always be alone, everyone has this in common with you too.

There is more useful information about people - go outside and hang around with other people to find out more. See and explore everything you possibly can - because as far as we know, this is your only shot at existence, or at least existing as a corporeal thinking being.

Please share your views and thoughts on being human - both as an individual and as part of the collective. What's your favourite part, which is your least liked element.

As always, and and all thoughts are welcome on this.

Prior to anyone feeling that this is in any way shape or form against the thread about being alien I feel I should mention that the purpose of this thread is to allow those who believe they are just human (or more rightly - thatwe all are just human) a place to exclaim their thoughts.

Stars and flag on the other thread indicate some kind of popularity for that belief. I was hoping that this thread could do the same for the counter belief system.

In here we can explore what it is to be human (in the context of Aliens and UFOs obviously).

10/10 for effort!

However I joined ATS to discuss the alien agenda, aliens amongst us, aliens in other dimensions, aliens in crafts, aliens that are hybrids, aliens on other planets, the alien list is endless....I really didnt join to discuss what it is to be human. I could join a humanities forum or some thing for that.

very good take and good idea but do you see my point?

Right Im off back to the what it is to be an alien thread

we are all today human, mabye how we came to be was fom alien dna.
but we are all humans. mabye more phylisophical or intelectual than others we see but human.

Nice parody lol.

I don't think being human and being alien are mutually exclusive though!

I do see your point and you are perfectly right to bring it up.

I however joined this forum for the truth about Aliens and UFOs, and my idea of the truth differs from yours. I'm not against you for your ideas - I just want scientific discussion or imaginings that have an air of plausibility to them.

The other thread perfectly demonstrates the beliefs of many members here at ATS and I love it here for that very reason. But countering with a sceptical outlook in there is like swimming through toffee in my opinion.

This thread is to discuss, or at least put some contemplations of what ignorant apes we are or are not.

I'm with you that we may have came from elsewhere (the big bang did contain us all once upon a time) but what we have here in front of us is everything we've ever known throughout our evolution. Being born and studying what's around us begets questions in itself. Those questions are why I'm here.

LOL! Yea i'm human alright.. I allmost though i was an alien when I read the other post.. But now I'm sure I'm just a human even though i tend to believe the people are making things more complicated than they are

I have to say... I honestly think people are just looking for their 'place' in the universe. I don't think that's inherently right or wrong, its what you do with the info afterward that's the defining factor.

Haha, that amused me, so points for the effort.

But i can't help thinking that it was unnecessarily rude.
So you made it just to spite Spooky, and practically give him the two fingers.

Still, it made me laugh.

Yes yes yes... thank you. You have just made my day.

I guess this means I'll never be able to shoot lasers from my eyes or peel back my pinkish outer shell to reveal an evil inner reptile. I prefer to remain the human fleshbag I am. Go humans, rah rah, hooray for humanity.

Although... if we discover extraterrestrial life on another planet somewhere in the vastness of space, then we would, indeed, be aliens - aliens to that particular planet.

posted on Jun, 2 2009 @ 02:48 PM
Oh dang it.

My biological female offspring container told me that I wouldn't be accepted by you apes.

I want so much to believe that I don't belong here and that most everyone else is just filler in my extraordinary life.

sigh. I guess I have to admit it. I'm just a human. Man, that sounds so harsh.

I really don't think it's that bad though. I can eat whatever I want, no organics for me thanks. Big steaks and imported nanners with processed marshmallow cream. Yum.

I don't want to claim this place, or take ownership of the state we are all in together, but you know what? It's MY fault too.

It would be a lot easier to just blame on all of you lesser eveolved beings.

The best is and what about the maker of this topic wasn't aware, he did what he needed to. Both threads are actually true. As a living being you was born here as this topic claims. The other thread is relating to the soul of the people (The term alien is a bit delusional there.). But that topic is also true. The problem is, the maker of this thread, while he is intended to make a nice comedy (That on I also laughed as I like good humor), because he doesn't like what he read, he is also involved in this as he is just highlighted the opposite, but also true side of this matter.

So, thanks m0r1arty. You're also one of us, even without your very own knowledge. That's about I written on the other thread's Page 17.

No i simply refuse to believe something so logical! I share therefore submit to the theory that my name is Zarg pi-tak from zeta reticuli sent here to emerse myself in a human culture.

How is the idea aliens don't exist/aren't here more logical than them being here?

One argument is it would take too long for them to get here - but what do we know about their propulsion systems!

As for them existing, watch Powers of Ten and then tell me Earth is the only planet with life.

And of course, the claim that there is "no evidence". It's far harder to prove a phenomenon than you'd think. Some things, such as ball lightning, are witnessed so rarely scientists know hardly anything about it. Yet millions of people have seen it and it has been documented for hundreds of years.

Technology makes it almost impossible to capture video evidence since anything that looks good and clear is assumed to be a fake.

Of course this thread is "against" the other thread. That is it's whole premise and structure. It's a direct parody of the other thread and attempts to mock and undermine it's theme. That's ifne - if that's your thing. But let's at least be be honest about it.

However, there are distinct differences. While the other thread presumes to tell us that some people are aliens, and allows members to ponder that for themselves. This thread presumes to tell everyone exactly what they are, and insists that is the case for all. Seeing as we don't really know who is reading this and can't be 100% sure on this matter, then this thread, despite appearing more "conventional", it's actually more presumptuous in it's insistence on foisting one homogenous "truth" on all.

It also doesn't belong in the Aliens and UFO forum

THANK YOU! not that we arent all "star children" but i have no evidence other then basic human nature to reinforce that view. Making threads for the sake of tricking people into starring, flagging, and replying is retarrrted. This these kinds of threads however should be more frequent, as they refute what all you star children interpret as truth

get real, this is earth, you were probably born on it.

Moriarty, I see where you are coming from, and where Moulder is coming from. Now check it:
I think what Moulder is talking about is the soul. Yes, I agree that his title is misleading, but he's talking about where our souls would be from, and the possibility that foreign (to us at least) souls would/could incarnate as an Earth human.
Of course we are all human in the flesh, but who's to know that souls don't transgress from planet to planet or galaxy to galaxy? Or hell, universe to universe?
Of course there is no proof of what I just said, but it IS possible.
I'm giving you a S&F BTW, because you do make a good point.
But I am seriously always open to alternate hypotheses, because bottom line is this: the answers that are available to us at the present time here on Earth JUST DON'T CUT IT, and I'm sure anyone with a brain can attest to that. Science, Religion - whatever. They just don't answer the most fundamental questions about our existence. One is basically inconclusive (theories and hypotheses), and no offense, but the other one(s) sound like fairy tales that have no physical proof (just a book).
Feel me?

I'm glad you find the thread humorous, I take no insult to that, but the purpose wasn't exclusive to comedy. Theological stuff has it's own subsection here where souls and god can be reckoned. I hope to discuss elements of humanity within the constraints of UFOs and Aliens as best we can.

Why do we need to believe, why do some people lie etc.

I'm confident that there is other life in the universe. Travelling here, their technology and such are things for their own threads. It's the human side of the Alien eqaation that baffles me - as I am human and don't 'buy into it' the same way others do.

I'd love to have proof, or even experience, something that allowed me to believe that UFOs and Aliens existed - but as is it's only poor lil' me and you here.
