In the communist Manifesto, Marx and Engles rail against the mechanization of humanity. They believe the industrial age had essentially began the process of turning humans into the slaves of corporate and government interests.

How is this any different than the fears of the NWO today?

If a leader is Marxist, wouldn't he also then by definition Anti-NWO?

By the way... here is a link to the communist manifesto in case you haven't had a chance to read it....

And if you haven't read it, but rail against Marx, well then yer just an idiot :-)

If you have read it and still rail against Marx, please explain why you think his ideas are any different than your anti-NWO ideas?

Evidently everyone agrees...

I thought maybe that realization that Marx was railing against the same thing that the Anti- NWO crowd rails against might cause some sort of meltdown...

...because it's true.

And no supporting arguments to the contrary?

I think a lot of people in the west believe Marx is the devil incarnated. This thinking has been quite succesfully played by the elite, because marxism threatened them.

Unfortunately for socialism, saying that religion was the opium of the masses didn't help. And as christianity (and islam) felt threatened too, fierce opposition came into, on the field of imagination and fantasy.

So rationality doesn't play well with politics.

Even here on ATS, lot of people believe that giving money to the banks is socialism.

I believe the majority of people would choose communism instead of capitalism if it was properly explained and implemented.

But for now, let the flamefest begin as soon as the defenders of capitailsm come!..

Good thread HunkaHunka.

Brainwashing American populous into "thinking" that Communism is evil and dangerous was carefully engineered by ruling class long time ago as a part of their self-preservation mechanism.

Ruling class (capitalists) even created this fictional NWO (small group of very, very evil Capitalists who are out to get us all, lol) idea in order to keep peoples attention on something else while they all are screwing us up ...

Communism over time became a concept of NO (not ever, over my dead body, not in my backyard) and it became an insult word.

Some are even ready to kill their fellow Americans over it, if necessary, lol.

Clergy (as a part of the brainwashing ruling class, spiritual ruling that is) has also been an enemy of Communist ideas for a long time ...

Funny that there are virtually only two political parties in USA (others are irrelevant and they are there just for the show) which is only one step away from one party system like in Socialism, lol

What's even funnier is that some on ATS call me a communist and kool-aid drinker just for thinking that communist ideas are not evil

It hurts my feelings, lol

Marx was in favor of a central bank, and, a dictator of the proletarian that would be in power for a long time until the next revolution which would lead then to direct democracy and then to communism... so his ideas isn't bad I just don't like how they would play out in reality. His theories lead directly to Stalin. So, no I don't want communism if we have to go through all of that.
