Police: Calif. Bank Robber Took 5-Story Plunge

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities in Southern California say a bank robber leapt off a five-story parking garage while fleeing police and was badly injured.

Pasadena police spokeswoman Janet Pope Givens says the man in his early 30s was hospitalized in critical condition Monday. Police are trying to determine his identity and whether he was trying to kill himself or escape.

What do you ATS'ers think, was the suspect stupid and jumped, was he pushed off by the Police, or was he being stupid and attempting parkour, also known as free running because he saw it in some movie, like perhaps James Bond?

I'm asking you, not stating any of those are my opinions, because a bank robber, would be pretty desperate, if you ask me, to get away and being chased he's in a desperate fight or flight situation, so the "run rabbit, run" obviously had him in high gear to attempt to jump five stories.

Notice as well, the utilization of the word, "alleged".

Why was he running, if he's "alleged" to have been the bank robber?

Or, maybe, he's just a really, really stupid and desperate criminal.

First rule of jumping off a building, is stick the landing. Apparently this guy didn't. Not like it would make too much of a difference, 5 stories is pretty high up.
