i'd say... there are a few places in the united states, regions where... people are Genuinely multicultural.
NYC would be one of those places, obviously what you say about Atlanta there are parts as well...
Where Integration happened NATURALLY, not based on classroom rules, media influence or trends...
There is no "natural" or better said "REAL" to why people stereo type, follow trends or believe or create reality around them...
Nationally, even through western civilization as a whole...
there is a stereotype... a pattern where, White Men and Asian Women and black Men and White Women are.... NUMERICALLY 10-1 the interracial trend, mix,
what have you...
Yet I know what you say is true...
In places, NYC, Berkley, surely Atlanta... I have no reason to doubt you...
these numbers... go haywire, don't nearly so much apply
I would suggest... that, people in these places mixed together naturally, integration began sooner, people have higher educations.... many
factors...
but I would offer that... for much of the USA surely, the racial getting to know each other factor is contrived... NEW, pushed by the media, people
have less education...
In other words...
there are parts of the world, of America, where some of us really don't even think about race, they got to know each other, don't live nearly so
much AS stereo types (as most of us seem to do) or by stereo typing
This is just a suggestion... a hypothesis
but certainly, there are locations where the body of people are of a higher consciousness and people have lived together and gotten to know each other
longer
what I see, from the 90's on... is the rest of America, the bulk of America being introduced to one another... via the media, via classroom
education, via terrible music stereo types... etc, etc
so the trends are... what they have been given... programmed to think and believe...
Are black guys physically superior?
Or across much of America have they been programmed to BELIEVE this? and naturally live and make certain things happen?
Are white girls more attractive than black girls?
It depends how you think and SEE the world...
But... even those of us who, KNOW BETTER, as I do, have elements of the programming that's been inflicted on us, particularly the last 20 years.
I would say... still those programs are allot weaker, in someone like me.... obviously many people in Atlanta... who were thrown in together to mix
together naturally
I talked allot about fighting between young males... when they started integration in NYC, busing etc, when I was 8, there were no rules, there were
no mandates...
there were 3 channels on TV ROFL
so we fought....and then made friends...
Somehow, as crazy as it may sound... that was better than the govt and media mandating, passing laws... portraying things certain... artificial
ways...
and yeah... we actually lived together and go to know each other...
where as now we have to follow rules... artificial rules
don't say this word... don't say that word...
Honestly... I find the interference, simply, creates more stereotypes and racism than in the begging, 60's 70's 80's
Put 4 people in a room together they will 99% of the time get to know each other and work it out
If, you showed on the News today... the way Back kids and white kids got to know each other in Bklyn in 1978-1988
people would be HORRIFIED lol
but I have to maintain... be fighting involved or not... (I was a rambunctious kid, not ALL kids choose that route lol)
I actually grew up getting to know Black people that way... confronted things head on, was allowed to fight with them, played with them...
LOL... ever see a white Jewish kid play double dutch and do it well? Hows that for breaking stereotypes lol!!!!
This way... PC is cold and unnatural and stereotyped...
leads to TRENDS in race
When people actually Live and breathe together not interfered with in their personally lives or are around people who have had that benefit all the
bs i'm talking about above just.... goes away, doesn't exist, it's just people
the people i'm talking about...the numbers, they know each other from porno, tv sitcoms and music videos...and even from at work, following a rigid
set of rules... it creates very weird behaviors, false beliefs...
and this is how America operates, how the media operates.... marketing TRENDS and they are played upon...
I'd say the things i said above are TRUE
Not because there is reality to them... but simply because the trends are exploited and the BULK of people follow them...
Stereotype... themselves
