The case in question, of a Canadian charged with killing an American soldier, is stalled by infighting among lawyers.

Other defendants have even more complex legal issues, and officials say the U.S. may have to choose between delaying Guantanamo's closure or quickly finding somewhere else to hold the trials.

Its looking more and more likely that Obama's plan to close gitmo will not happen by the date he has planned. With the senate refusing to fund the closing and the problem of where to put the prisoners is concerning. No countries want these prisoners inside there boarders and American citizens don't want them in their prisons.
