I've had an interest in a member for a little while now. And I'm pretty sure she knows it, okay I'm 100% sure. Absolutely the most amazing person I've had the pleasure of chatting with on ATS, wish they were all as kick ass as her. This one just agrees with me on so many levels, and I've only scratched the surface. It's like my mind got picked open and she found all the things that make tick. Amazing, just amazing.

Now there was an ATS Survey on 'Origins & Creation: Evolution' about the same time partygirl posted to this thread...

7,530 is about 27% of 28,000 aprox total respondants.

And OL took these survey question results and overlayed them ...













55% of the members who did the survey [7530 rnd up] would generally be posting members and not lurkers which = 4140 [rnd dn]

And after some short back of the envelope calculations I recon that the average percentage of members who are also theists is about roughly 30%. [averaging out the % of agree and strongly agree votes]

30% of members = 1240 [rnd dn] potential theists who did the survey.

62% would most likely be male which = 770 [rnd up] members.

Or about 1% of the total posting male members of ATS took part in the survey.

So 80,600 potentials ... I can do better than that by narrowing it down by...

Ages: 18yr - 34yr 32% , 35yr - 49yr 30% , 50yr+ 27%
Wages: $0 - $30k/yr 23% , $30k - $60K/yr 25% , $60k - $100k/yr 25% , $100k+/yr 27%

80% are from the USA
10% are from Great Britan

Now if OL bases his maths on a 'single white male aged 18yr - 50yr who has finished colledge and is earning $60k - $100k/yr living in the west that reduces the total down to a mere 0.8% of the total posting male population on ATS.

That is number is very close to the number of male theist members who did the survey.

Based on those numbers...

624 would be from the USA
77 would be from Great Britan
39 would be from Canada
20 would be from Australia
10 would be from India
and 10 would be from elsewhere.

There is at the least a 86.25% chance that they are in the America's somewhere.
There is at the most a 13.75% chance they are outside the America's somewhere.
