Yes, George Washington was a freemason.

1752 - Freemasonry was already old when the young George Washington became a member in 1752 of the Fredericksburg, Va., Lodge. He remained a proud member and patron his entire life. In all, 14 presidents were well-known masons, the last one being President Gerald Ford. Although the word mason means "a builder and worker in stone," Freemasons use symbols and allegories to "build better men that create great societies." Following in his father's footsteps, Ketchum remembered he joined ...

Google Timeline

The following are confirmed masons who signed the declaration of independence.

William Ellery, RI
Benjamin Franklin, PA
John Hancock, MA
Joseph Hewes, NC
William Hooper, NC
Robert Treat Paine, MA
Richard Stockton, NJ
George Walton, GA
William Whipple, N

This thread though, really should be sent to the secret societies board:

Freemasonry is more like a brotherhood or fraternity, if you will. So, NWO doesn't equal Freemasonry.
It's like a membership in a country club. Just the members here are very politically interested.

Yeah, I agree. I believe the last people who would consider an N.W.O would be Freemasons. They do charitable events, fund raise and give out student scholarship. So I doubt they will be connected to N.W.O anytime soon!

Beyond the original signers already mentioned above, the following US Presidents (and only these listed) have been Masons:
  • George Washington
  • James Monroe
  • Andrew Jackson
  • James Knox Polk
  • James Buchanan
  • Andrew Johnson
  • James Abram Garfield
  • William McKinley
  • Theodore Roosevelt
  • William Howard Taft
  • Warren Gamaliel Harding
  • Franklin Delano Roosevelt
  • Harry S. Truman
  • Gerald R. Ford, Jr

LBJ got the 1st degree, but never progressed further. Washington couldn't have been 33°, because that degree didn't exist until the mid-late 1800s.

The founder of the Illuminati, Adam Weishupt got the masons to help him bring about the illuminati. That's historical fact. Also, there is just too much info connecting masonry to the nwo. Right now, according to the late New Zealand Pastor Barry Smith, the masons and the Rothschilds have a lodge about 300 or so feet from the temple mount in jerusalem.
