Israel Insists on Some Construction in West Bank Settlements

JERUSALEM — Israel insisted Thursday that it wanted to reach an understanding with the United States on construction in West Bank settlements, despite a blunt call by the Obama administration to completely freeze all work.

I am happy to see some of the courses Obama is taking in the israel-palestine arena and even in the Iranian one.

Sure he may be trying to bankrupt the country to no ends but it's the country that elected him after all. If anyone should be oppressed it should be them.

A sad thing is that anyone who is arrested in the west bank gets transfered ONCE RELEASED to the Gaza Strip.

That right there means that Gaza is a jail in those walls.

Many religious Jewish nationalists say it is their right to settle in the biblical heartland of the West Bank, which they call Judea and Samaria.
