The Republican Party is devoid of any intellectualism bible bashing and hatred of Gays has replaced brains . When I look at the Current New Zealand Government I see Minster of Finance Bill English the country boy with brains and PM John Key has business smarts , rather then the academic background of Clark . When I look at the Republican Party all I can see is a bunch of purely ideology driven kooks whose policy's belong in a padded cell .

You have failed to point out just what part of my post you disagree with .
It would be good if you could elaborate a little bit more .

It is pretty obvious that even with the almost entire speech posted here that people's minds are made up even though if they bothered to read it taken in its entireity its now what the right has made it out to be...

Some people deny their own ignorance... even in the face of facts.

Maybe they just don't agree with you, or is that to hard to believe?

I'm sorry but reverse that statement as a white man to a latina judge and that person would be under fire left and right...this isn't equality when a statement like that (which isn't misconstrued if its not taken out of context) gets away with no response. I'm not saying the woman needs to be tortured for this statement but I am saying that it was offensive and clearly meant only one way that she would give a better judgement than a older white man. How is that not racist?

What if I said...I think because she is a latina judge and a woman- she's not being treated like an elderly white male candidate...

Ridiculous.

Well....she kind of DOES have a history of being racist, and is affiliated with some very racists organizations. I don't see what the big fuss is. If thats what you want, good for you. I don't much like Newt, but he was right on this account. But then, thats the new America. Its only racist if white people do it.

Good to see that you and SD are now against "mouthing the same ole talking points" after years of doing just that. But I guess when you are now on the defensive and trying to protect the messiah and his many (at best) questionable appointments, you have to make such choices out of expediency.

Or are you really just creating a whole new series of talking points for the obamaphiles to mouth?

i feel sorry for self-righteous right winged robots who can't muster a better argument than to name-call and repeat old worn out rush limbaugh quotes.

If you believe the woman is racist, then you need to ask yourself how many of the old white men who currently hold a seat are racist as well?

I'm sure, given common knowledge of the era they grew up in, a good majority of them could be construed as racist.

Regardless if this woman is racist or not, the republican party has a lot of cojones' pointing the finger and screaming racism

"I hate gooks" - John McCain

"only racist blacks and guilty whites voted for barack obama" - the entire GOP

i mean, do i really need to rehash all these old bastions of hatred from the right wing loony bin?

Or are you really just creating a whole new series of talking points for the obamaphiles to mouth?

Does it really make you feel good to use words like obamaphiles? Are you really so angry, bitter, and jealous that you can't just let it go and realize why your racist party lost the election?

Seriously. It's just an election.
It's like the super bowl, only it happens every 2 years instead of just 1.

Get over it, knock off the 3rd grade name calling, compose yourself, get some new talking points and try harder next time.

As a black man let me assure you that white men are being oppressed perhaps for even longer than black people. Working class men and women, who are the vast majority by a long shot in the US, are the most put upon and exploited group of people in the coountry. I am talking about the shear volume of numbers being exploited.

You see, they suffer from a profound delusion because when they see another that looks like them driving a Rolls Royce to his mansion, they think all is okay. These individuals believe that they are a white man living in a white man's world when in reality the wealthy and the elite consider the white working class person just another kind of n*g^£r.

While the white man rails against Hispanic working class people sneaking into the US, taking jobs and undercutting them in wages, the elite turn a blind eye as they busy themselves thieving from the national wealth and burdening future generations with enormous debts. As the bankers and Enron style executives loot the white man thinks he on top of the world.

Wake up bros. America is for Americans. Demand fair pay, fair working conditions so you can watch your children grow and not work for some else until you die. Demand a national health service. Insist that the police are public servants and not irrational storm troopers. Vote Masonwatcher

Exactly. And Sotomayor has already said that race and gender definately enter into her judgements. Right there we are all being told straight from the horses mouth that she is a lousy judge.

You haven't read this thread, have you? that's all it is. Instead of discussing the obvious sexism and racism of Sotomayor, it just became an anti-GOP circle J.

If you believe the woman is racist,

She IS racist. IS.

then you need to ask yourself how many of the old white men who currently hold a seat are racist as well?

Separate issue. Start a thraed on it. You think they are all a bunch of racists? Start a thread and prove it. At this point, the only known racist is the nominee .... Sotomayor.

I'm sure, given common knowledge of the era they grew up in, a good majority of them could be construed as racist.

That's your alleged evidence? The time period these people grew up in?

Are you really so angry, bitter, and jealous that you can't just let it go and realize why your racist party lost the election?

:shk: glass houses fremd. You are the one who is angry and bitter.

And the reason the GOP lost was two fold.

- Bush43 screwed up and therefore no matter who the dems put forth, he or she would win.

- The media made Obama into a rock star. The biggest things on Obama's empty resume were 'community organizer' and 'ran for office'. He's unqualified.

I just don't buy that its okay to call names as long as you point out the reasons you are calling them those names.

Name calling is name calling. If you don't like it then don't do it. But you will continue to do so because you are referring to republicans right?

I love the Republican party. Please keep it up guys you are doing great work!

Go Limbaugh! GO! Keep up with this stuff. That way we won't ever have to deal with anyone like Bush or Cheney ever again in this country.

I still want to know how this;

"would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."

www.salon.com...

got changed to this;

"a wise Latina woman would reach a better conclusion than a white male"

newsbusters.org...

any conservatives out there give me an idea?

I'm not a conservative, but i have a theory:

Remember in grade school there was always that one kid in every class that got so frustrated he'd just lash out over the stupidest things? His lack of social interaction led to his belief that everyone hated him, therefore he was quick to tell you to "F-OFF" or something equally as un-called for?

That's how i view these republicans. (not all, just the ones who take instances like this far out of context, on purpose)

There is only one way to reach the conclusion that via her comment in question she is a racist: To consciously make a decision to tell a lie. To tell people the full quote up until the point she clarifies and says 'that has lived that kind of life'

They are desperate. They are needy. They will stop at nothing to save as many voters as they can, and they've resorted to reaching out to the racist crowd.

They have lost all moral value and composure, and they're getting worse.

It really is sad. But it's also the beginning of the end of the GOP as we know it. Might take a while, but i hope i'm alive to see it.

Hey JD…I am game. Please show me some “trusted” sources proving she is a racist……Because for all of yours and the GOP’s rhetoric all I can find researching is the typical GOP ugly pile of BS.

Like when Rep. Tom Tancredo likened La Raza Unida to the KKK? Going as far as sighting their Motto “"All for the race. Nothing for the rest." SO there is no question as to what group he was referring to.

The only problem being that Sotomayor is NOT a Member of La Raza Unida and NEVER has been!!! She is a member of National Council of La Raza or NCLR…which has nothing what-so-ever to do with that group.

The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) is a non-profit and non-partisan advocacy group in the United States. It is not to be confused with La Raza Unida.
en.wikipedia.org...

But Tom Tancredo said it anyways…he, like the rest of the GOP figured what the heck, yes it is a lie, but people will believe it because they want to and maybe we will convince some folks on the fence.
The BS is EXHUASTING. Your typical claims of “look it up” …”Trusted” sources…while not providing ANY…While at the same time finding the GOPs attack lines to be rooted in LIES.

Partisanship aside…There is no credibility left for the GOP because of these lies….Over and over for years now and there is no reason to afford any veracity to those espousing the same claims like yourself.

* The GOPs premise seems to be simply…the American public is dumb. That is what offends me the most.

Show me something that doesn’t collapse into a reeking pile of manuer when examined. Something not twisted or pulled out of context…or at the very least source your claims rather than post BS claims without any sources.

Actually it is a thread based on a proven lie as I made clear on that thread.

Sotomayor was never a member or associated with the group. (see above post)

She is not a memebr of the fringe group La Raza Unida...she is a member of the NCLR..but who cares, people are dumb and will believe what you feed them? Right?

But I expect nothing less than lies from you having seen you continue to champion BS in the face of facts.
