Absolutely untrue. Latino-americans are the most discriminated group in this country today. Saying they have nothing to gain by creating a community is like saying that the NAACP is pointless for African-Americans.

I have lived in this country for over 25 years, I have so far a very good and fulfilling life and I have never been treated any wrongly that my neighbor next door.

I have lived in the north east, Virginia, Carolina, in the west, California and even in Hawaii, in the south, Florida and now GA, I have seen discrimination everywhere I have been and depending the area well you see which groups are discriminate more than others.

But the biggest discrimination I have seen so far has been in the south and is not against Latinos, actually here the discrimination is against whites, does that sound weird? well is not in my neck of the woods.

But then again I am a very strong minded person that always make my presence be felt everywhere I go.

So no I can not say I have been personally discriminated at.

But that doesn't mean that others has not, just that I would never allow it on myself.

This woman does not realize how much she has set back the civil rights movement in America with this one racist statement.

She does not possess the judicial discipline needed for the Supreme Court of our nation.

Yet our Congress will bow to the will of Obama. Shame on them.

She is the hispanic equivalent of David Duke.

I am Latina and I have lived a very rich and fulfilling life, I don't understand what in the hell is she talking about in that statement because she doesn't sound like me and never will, she is power hungry that's what she is

I better check with my family she may be a one of my distant cousin and I don't even know it. She kind of look like one of my aunts.

I have lived in this country a long time as well, and I have watched the discrimination shift from African-americans, to women, to asians, to middle-easterners, to latinos.

It's the same tactic in all of them. Find a way to villify. Call any organization of those groups a radical group, or a terrorist organization.

In short, it's another perfect example of setting neighbor against neighbor, perpetuating fear of others, and keeping the everyday civilian's attention on fearing others, as opposed to being empowered.

I agree, whites are VERY discriminated against at this point. I wonder, though, if we organized a group to empower white people, with civic duty and charity work(not saying that La Raza doesnt do some outrageous things, but ALL groups do), would you classify it as a KKK-like group?

I agree with you to a point, but we know what different groups are after, supremacy domination, taking into consideration that Latinos is the fastest growing minority group in the nation, (I used to teach Spanish) then you pretty much know that they are trying to cement that dominance and advancing it very fast indeed.

I can talk for hours on how this is going to be achieved but you pretty much knows what I am talking about.

KKK was all about their supremacy because they were losing that very fast through raze integration (mixing).

But with Latinos the integration is not necessary because their birth rates within illegals is very high and their children are born American citizens.

Well lets leave it at that, I hope you understand what I mean.

I'm half mexican, my grandfather is from Guadalajara and my grandmother from outside of Mexico City. Both came here legally and worked their butts off in the farms and orchards here in California. My grandfather enjoys a happy and rather well off retirement thanks to his years of hard work.
La Raza and illegal immigration are a mockery and an insult to hard working and legal mexicans like my grandparents.

The KKK is an advocacy group for whites and have been around for a very long time. You wouldn't want a member of that group sitting as a Supreme Court Judge.

The difference? La Raza does not have a history of being bigoted, murdering racists.

Pushing for the advancement for one race and not the other is racist. They state that is what they are about in their motto. You don't find that racist?

The fact that they aren't murdering bigots CERTAINLY separates them from the KKK, and that is m whole point here.

Like it or not, all races push for the advancement of their race first.

I said that comparing a group to another group of murdering bigots is propaganda intended to get a negative reaction.

I compared one racist group to another racist group.

You are the one that said that you can't compare the two because one has murdered in the past.

Any racist group can be compared to each other. Would it made a differance to you if I compared them to The Black Panthers or the NAACP?

The fact is that they are a racist group, just like the KKK. Theres your comparison and to say one is better then the other is ignorant.

Being a MEXICAN-American....and also in the Armed Forces...I feel closer to my heritage than I do that of my home Country. Mind you being Bi-Cultural has it's advantages ...but ultimately I like to think you decide which side you feel closer to "home" to...I obviously I am closer to my fellow Mexican-Americans that actually cherish our culture and pass it down to their children then those

I believe Hispanics are a very peaceful bunch...very heart warming and accepting people, don't let a few "radicals" ...a few "cholos" ruin it for the rest of us...



Also last I checked...the United States started the Mexican-American war...and robbed most of ..."our" territory.
