Computer Question: Scripting in Windows Movie Maker

Is it possible to write a script for Windows Movie Maker that would in a couple of clicks, turn a whole movie into a series of frame by frame snapshots, all numbered in sequence and stored in it's own folder on one's hard drive?

Recently I had to go through the tedious process of advancing frame by frame and taking snapshots all the way to the end of a (mercifully brief) clip. I would really like to be able to automate that process.

Alternatively, is there an app that will do this?

Wrong forum for this question (it would more at home in the Computer Help forum), but the program I use is the free (and Open Source) Avidemux, I use it for almost all my video analysis work.

Thanks for the link and the heads up about this forum. I have downloaded your suggested program. I'm such a knucklehead, I didn't even think to look on BTS for a computer help forum. Thanks again.
