A new United Nation's global warming treatyis expected to give some of the world's worst polluters--such as the communist People's Republic of China--and some of the world's wealthiest nations--such as the oil-rich United Arab Emirates--a license to continue freely pumping carbon into the atmosphire while restricting the emissions of the United States.

It's been said before here on ATS, why restrict the USA and other countries when UAE and China are pumping this stuff unrestricted into the air.

It's all a sham that's why! Just another way to get our money from us, to tax us for another stupid reason.

At this very moment Clinton and Pelosi are talking to China in a hopes of covering their butts to make it look like they arent just trying to tax us...

You know if a war started over tea... I would have started a tax revolt along time ago.

Flagged because this exasperates me to no end. Sometimes I wish we'd do like China and tell other nations to GTHO and mind their own business.

Well you have to look at this from their perspective..

Even though it is frustrating.. It is true that while European countries and the USA were pumping out the most toxic gasses possible for the past couple of hundred years in order to make us as wealthy and advanced as we are.. China has not been doing that and so believes wholeheartedly it does not have to pay the same amount as the richer nations who have contributed more to the problem..

If you go by which what crime fits what punishment.. the EU/US obviously should pay an awful lot more than the developing countries in order to fight pollution.. at least until those nations are of a similar economic standing as ourselves..

Thats true..

But something like this needed to be done in order to stop the big polluters.. even though this is just a way to pay for creating the infrastructure to restart the global economy based on renewable energy instead of oil.. It would be nice if they told us that instead of treating us like mogs as per usual..
