SIBEL EDMONDS: Announcing 'Project Expose MSM'

www.bradblog.com

Whistleblowers set to name names, turn tables on media, who've betrayed our trust

Newsweek reporters named in 'real-life' case example of new project...

At my new blog, 123 Real Change, I'm happy to present an experimental project, Project Expose MSM, created to provide readers with specific mainstream media blackout and/or misinformation cases based on the documented and credible first-hand experiences of legitimate sources and whistleblowers...

Yes, we will be naming names ---

Project Expose MSM will select and publicize legitimate, credible, and documented/witnessed stories. It will provide a forum for those with first-hand experience to share their stories with the public. It will raise awareness and allow people to discuss these cases openly. And hopefully it will help to foster improvements to the current, sorry state of our MSM by bringing the wrongs to light.

Yeah baby! You go girl!

I am loving this new project, for around ATS we are no strangers to exposing MSM and their failures, shortcomings, and selective agenda for distorting or omitting the truth.

I have included some threads in related ATS links above that are right up this alley.

And who better to initiate such a campaign than Sibel Edmonds??!!

Sibel Edmonds is the founder and director of National Security Whistleblowers Coalition (NSWBC). Ms. Edmonds worked as a language specialist for the FBI. During her work with the bureau, she discovered and reported serious acts of security breaches, cover-ups, and intentional blocking of intelligence that had national security implications. After she reported these acts to FBI management, she was retaliated against by the FBI and ultimately fired in March 2002. Since that time, court proceedings on her case have been blocked by the assertion of "State Secret Privilege"; the Congress of the United States has been gagged and prevented from any discussion of her case through retroactive re-classification by the Department of Justice. Ms. Edmonds is fluent in Turkish, Farsi and Azerbaijani; and has a MA in Public Policy and International Commerce from George Mason University, and a BA in Criminal Justice and Psychology from George Washington University. PEN American Center awarded Ms. Edmonds the 2006 PEN/Newman's Own First Amendment Award.

For more on whistleblowers and a long list of resources, please see the story on "whistleblowers ask Obama for protection" in related ATS threads.

One story at a time we are slowly busting the MSM. Just yesterday I was listening to the Michael Savage show. And you know what the MSM is now doing? They are aware of the stigma that is following them. They are aware that people are discontinuing subscriptions. So now they are starting to claim that they are not mainstream on their very own stations!
I just couldn't believe it when I heard the host of the show claiming this and that about MSM, on a MSM station!

So rather than getting with the program, going back to independent reporting free from CIA or White House direction, they are now instead trying to shed their stigma by denouncing themselves on their own station.
Just great, that is!

Some time ago I made an appeal of my own to MSM:

A Wake Up Call To Global Media- Prove Yourselves or Die!

Alright... so tell me peoples, what I do wrong here? No replies? No support for Sibel??? Come on now. How can ATSers say nothing on a venture to expose the mainstream media??!! And especially from someone like Sibel?

I even got an applause for this thread. I mean, that's cool if no one has anything to say...but figured I'd raise this up one time before it sinks in obscurity into the ATS virtual cementary...

I'm tired of all the unanswered questions and i'll grasp at any straw to see that remedied. Myself, i'm in no position to make any sort of difference at this time except to plant seeds among frineds and family.

Hopefully this guy gets some info from people with kahunas as big as ya head, putting their names behind what they say and taking what comes.

here's graspin'!

tell you the truth, I think this may just be another failed attempt to point out the corruptness. Who will listen? In all honesty? There are so many people out there that believe everything the MSM says to them, all the MSM has to do is say "these guys are whackos" and they will believe it.
Dont get me wrong, Im all for the exposure of corrupt organizations, but I really dont know how far this thing will go. Once it does, who will get the word out to the people? TV stations? lol. I hope they have a good game plan on how to get this information out to the people.

Well, I just got that information to you, now right?

Come on bro, let's try to be positive on this. It is the extremely important and necessary part of government oversight that we all scream for so often. And to be honest, I was amazed no one replied in the other thread too. I go out on daily internet trips to bring this stuff here....It'd be nice to know at least someone read it, even if they don't reply. But since the disappearance of the views column, no replies and I can't even get that minute satisfaction that someone at least read it.

I am certainly going to do the same. This is a great project, it will just require ALOT of support from the public and hopefully some media concious companies who would invest in such a thing.

Wonderful find OP, as usual!

I am with you on it, I really am, but you said it yourself, you put the information out there and nobody is responding to it. Now I am in agreement with you when you say that the information is out there and that people do have the ability to see whats going on, but it seems like it if does not go BOOM or someone isnt killed over it, nobody really cares, nor pays attention to it.
I am in full support of this, but I see a lot of problems in getting people to jump on board with this due to their personal alliances that they each hold with each of their own news stations. Its going to be hard to tell someone that everything that their "people" are telling them is mostly lies. All they will do is make excuses for these stations and go about their daily programming as usual. Look at all the crap that was on during the elections. There was so much dis-information during that last year, yet nobody cared, all they did was pick a side and stuck with it.
Even if they exposed ALL of the stations, and not just singling them out, I still dont believe that it will have any effect on the news stations for they will just release more propaganda for the people to swallow.
We on ATS know that the MSM media is full of lies, and so do a lot of other people, but the majority of the people will still have their heads in the sand because they choose to be blind about what really is.
However, this doesnt mean that we still cant try right? =)
BTW, thanks for bringing this out, I think that this truly deserves a shot in getting some of these bastards in the negative spotlight.

Well, sometimes all it takes is a little swift kick. I could have just let this die, and that would have been 3 or 4 less people that would have known about it. I have plenty of other threads I feel the same about.

lol, we need to get discussing this and stay on topic, but I will say this: there are many other ways to navigate ATS than using the "Recent Posts" button. I encourage you all to try clicking on forums when nothing in recent posts seems interesting. And if that fails, then click on your favorite user's or your friend's profiles to see what threads they've started! You'd be amazed what you might find.

Ok, end of off topic discussion please. Sorry mods.

Go Sibel! The woman is a heroine ... you guys know her story? Amazing! Click around, the links are there, or I can get you more if you like!

You made what I think is a very Important thread!

Exposing the lies and the corruption of the MSM should be a top priority in every country worldwide!

I think this is a great Initiative of Sibel Edmonds, and I hope she can get the message out to the masses!

Easy S&F for me. Good thread, important work. I am glad to have found this. Maybe the lack of response is partially because some people and possibly many here on ATS have just plain "given up" on the MSM.
I know that I have in many respects.

I have been doing a lot of research into many different topics and came across the idea in quantum physics (or is mechanics? don't know) that the observed is affected by the observer or maybe more simply, the act of being observed. That coupled with a quote from the book of Enoch stating basically, that, a mere removal of God's observance of us would destroy us inspired me to stop observing the MSM...

In conclusion, I believe that all we have to do is stop observing and by necessity and economy, the MSM will cease to exist and we will be ultimately left to re-double our efforts to keep sites such as ATS free from the elements that we dislike about the MSM.

lol, well yeah many may have given up on the MSM, but I know quite a few won't ever give up on exposing their lies by omission, deception, ignorance, or from upper directive.

And thanks you guys for at least doing SOMETHING with this.

We can never stop supporting whistleblowers. NEVER. The constant threat of their gaze will help keep honest people honest, as the saying goes- and where we really need it right now- in government.

This is amazing. The Webbot report is tragically gaining more and more ground with the news lately.

Let's hope it doesn't continue coming up correct.

Fantastic. I have never forgotten this woman's story and I'm glad to hear that she's become an advocate because of it. I'm excited to see what will come of it.

You have just got to love it when some folks start pointing to specifics...

I've only got one thing to say.

Klank! Klank!

If we were to step away from peering thru the microscope at MSM...

It rapidly becomes apparent that the problem is much huger/prevalent than what occurs at MSM.

(Did I mention that MSM is an absolute joke in terms of reporting what is happening in the world?
)

If you were to start documenting the shortcomings (both omitted and reported stories
), it would rapidly become a FULL TIME JOB.

You go girl! Kick some MSM axx.

This sounds interesting. My antennas are raised to say the least. Hopefully, she'll be able to kick over a few rocks and find the truth, since MSM stopped doing that years ago.

Now MSM, in large majority, act as cheerleaders for their favorite political party, policy, causes, ect. Some people can see through their lies while others are in a trance taking whatever is spoon-fed to them as gospel by MSM.

There are no trusted sources in the MSM and I mean that in all honesty! Only a fool would miss their biased reports.

I'll give one example, it was posted on here a while back when that female CNN reporter went ballistic on that Tea Party protester for his views on the government. It's not her job to vent like that while covering the news. She is strictly there as an observer and tasked with getting both sides of any story whether it's favorable or not to her own views. That's journalism 101. If all in the MSM media followed that simple precept, we would have a much different country than we have now.

Way to go Sibel!
