Our leaders have legislated the outsourcing of our countrie's manufacturing to the lowest bidders. In the process we have transferred riches to several countries. Was this motivated by greed or by taking a long term veiwpoint to limited resources?

If our military is sufficient then we can be relegated to third world status for a number of years while the world economy consumes others' finite mineral and oil resources. Then comes the crunch and the US opens up its cupboard of oil reserves and untapped resources for sale to the world. Making the US more rich than imagined.

Seems logical to me.

You are 100% correct... I did allot of work the previous year with a man involved in bio diesel... a Washington insider

Your 100% correct, America is poised on multiple levels to re emerge as the richest nation on Earth...

It's many pronged too...

It's Farming and the NAU thing and Canadian Water and Mexican land and Biodiesel and us supplying 50% of the worlds food... after a series of wars that even further worsens crop conditions elsewhere

It's Shale and Oil reserves we hold in check

It's convincing the American people to...tighten our belts pay the money fund the wars, fear the doomsday scenario...

the showing up with ... technology suddenly, American innovation that...we already have but aren't using until the rest of the world is drained...

Things like advanced mining and underground ability to provide resources, propulsion and space programs that are covert that will allow us to haul in rocks... a single asteroid is worth Trillions, it's Cold Fusin being suppressed until...

Yeah

It's all a set up, a very bold one...

America is in great shape in actuality

Cheers! You have added to the list. There are many other things to count USA into the game.
o, yea I do believe it is a game. Unlike others I believe the game is being played for the benefit of us...USA... not to the detriment.
We may get politicians that bail on the grand plan but we have too much going for this country to become a third world nation...permantly

I respect blind nationalism as much as the next person but you don't really think that innovative American entrapreneurs are saving themselves untill the rest of the world is drained do you..? These people will all be old by then..

We can see through history that as various areas of economic greatness get outsourced and expand to create other areas of economic greatness nearby.. they lose a lot of their economic clout which they will get back when the outsourcing and consuming goes full circle.. Unless ravaged by war, natural disaster or massive economic policy shift, the modernized economies of whatever era always bounce back because the infrastructure is there and the technology is available.

In the last couple of centuries we saw this with various massive European Economies which have all come full circle and we know that with the World as tightly knit as it is at the moment.. this is going to become more frequent and less painfull for various different modern economies at various different times.

Now the US/UK/Spain/Italy/Japan etc will take a side seat while China becomes a consumer nation and then that circle will be complete and good growth will continue for all sides.. then China will outsource to Pacific countries? Middle East? Africa? and suffer economic decline for a decade until that circle is complete.

This never necessarily means complete poverty for the outsourced economy.. it simply means that like any business, when they are in the red, they must restructure in order to take advantage of the upcoming oppertunities... ie drop wage levels, cut spending, promote green technologies for jobs etc

This will be happening until the whole world is of a similar economic standard ie. Nowhere to outsource to.. then a new economic plan will be needed but there is no need to worry about for another couple of hundred years.

The US is in no way 'Down and Out' and probably never will be.. What will happen is that emerging economies will reach the same standard as the US/EU/Japan/Canada/Australia so you wont feel as rich in comparison to the poorer countries but you will still be wealthy.

For the past few months I have been noticing that it almost looks like the American & UK governments are trying to make themselves less prominant economically on the world stage by hurting their currencies in order to make it easier for them to make a fortune again within the next decade as China and India become massive... Makes good business sense if they are.

Hello, I thought that is what I inferred in the op. Why disagree with me for 3/4 of your post just to agree at the end?
The fact is that the US is NOW placing its anti-missile shield around the world.. Our enemies may launch but soon after lift-off there are anti's on the way. Long before it comes near to USA shores.
Subs oth i havent discoverd the countermeasures for them...I doubt they dont't exhist. BTW I was USMC airborne electronic countermeasures more than a decade ago. I guarentee that the tech today in the military makes what I worked on look like the flintstones' mechanic

I am not sure I should be posting this, but right now I am working on a book called:
"Consumocracy; The New American Political Structure"

So yes, I personally think you are right on.

Yes you are consumers, big fat consumers
So is the UK,just like America our whole economy is based on debt and consuming crap we dont need. The EU is the biggest economic powerhouse in the world due in part to countries that still produce things Germany being the main country. The Uk just consumes everything other countries make and by doing so gets into perpetual debt.

Hello!!

Why say this

I invite your comments

If you are going to complain when someone posts

You said outsourcing in your original post.. not about the currency devaluation..

Our leaders have legislated the outsourcing of our countrie's manufacturing to the lowest bidders

so I can honestly say that I haven't agreed with you at all.. anywhere

Outsourcing is a natural part of capitalism.. Thinking your leaders have done this in order to bring down your economy would mean a conspiracy that goes back to the very first outsourced company in the US.

The fact is that the US is NOW placing its anti-missile shield around the world.. Our enemies may launch but soon after lift-off there are anti's on the way. Long before it comes near to USA shores.

I don't understand what this has to do with it..
If its a current affairs thing, I am on the other side of the world so you will have to be more clear. Cheers

ok. seems my post is being mis-interpreted. My fault.

Lets say we play a game . You get half of a penut butter sandwich and I get the other half.
I give you 1/2 part of my sandwich for your penut butter cause I really like it.. You end up with my 1/4 sandwich and I get 3/4 of the good stuff.

get it?

now off topic but true
Life is like a # sandwich the more bread that you have the less # you eat.
We have huge oil reserves...that being untapped oil and minerals. Not to mention food production. Yes the feds have screwed our value on the dollar but the real assets behind America still survive.
We have been outsourcing since Carter and IMHO that does put the worker in desperate mode, but at the end of the day USA will still have its resouces while the remainder of the worlds resources will be consumed.

The only reason that you can write in english and don't knock your glasses off of your face in a salute to hitler is due to the usa. PERIOD

England/Scotland/Ireland would be a peice of land resembleing the bayou of louisiana.
Pick up those glasses and set them squarely on your face and look around.

Things are not in focus. Obvious even common sence issues are mishandled. I for one do not think that it is a matter of utter incompetence.
Occam's razor would suggest to me that yes, events are being manipulated . For what purpose ...I only speculate. And I pray for us all.

More Russia actually.. but whats your point? And where did this terrible attempt at an insult come from?

Id say America is the reason we're not communist.. but if we were.. who would have traded/Allied with you? The USA would be a very different place my friend.. probably also communist.. Or else completely wiped off the face of the planet.

You are completely insane...
I agreed with your last post.. I even laughed at your stupid peanut putter analogy.. why are you still making nonsensical condescending statements? Also, i'v never been to louisiana.. so.. is there also a point in making terrible comparisons

I don't need glasses.. My view from here is fine.. ie. I live in a country that has not been subjected to constant wartime propaganda since WW2... Its even at the stage that none of you realize that you are being subjected to this and still believe your own conditioned rubbish.. So my viewpoint is quite clear thanks.

I have spent quite a bit of time researching all this.. and I take an active interest in following it up in my spare time.. the only conclusion I have come to is not to worry about the outcome because we cannot do anything about it...
Change what you can change.. reposition yourself around what you cannot.

We don't have the reserves or infrastructure to supply the world with oil. Not to mention oil is nearly a thing of the past. What is really happening is that China and the USA are swapping roles. China will become a superpower and the US population will be working in factories for $2.00 a day making product for China. I mean if we're putting all our cards on the table then that is my prediction.
