so the SAVAK were a lovely hand out roses police force where they , the same SAVAK that tortured hundreds of thousands? the same SAVAK that assisted (prior to being officially named) in the 1953 coup of the democratically elected leader - the most popular in the entire history of iran - Mosaddeq.

in 2004 the CIA admitted they made a serious mistake with operation ajax - and was the turning point in the history of iran ; if they had stayed out of interfering in the middle east iran would be a totally different place today ; it seems that history is being ignored with the invasion of iraq , and we shall see the same thing in iraq in 30 years that we see now in iran.

but the iranian elections are next month , and the reformist looks like he will win - Mousavi , and i can guarantee the MSM tune will change then.

you have heard of the july war in 2006? apparantly you might have heard about it , but not read or watched anything - its the war where the IDF got its ass kicked , losing more heavy armour tank units in 30 days then the USA has lost in 6 years , and nearly losing the latest stealth warship they have.

Why so much fuss about Hezbollah? They are a defence militia, there to protect, as they did back in 2006, the Lebanese borders and people.

The western image of Hezbollah, perpetuated by compliant media and Israeli owned politicians, is one of wild eyed Arabs, salivating at the prospect of killing everyone who is either White / Jewish / Christian etc.
Reality may just be a little different!

Well there is the small fact that they keep trying to kill Israeli civilians by increasingly desperate means.

And by the way, when was the last time the UK populace was attacked by Jews, can you say the same for Arabs?

If Hezbollah threw all those rockets into the sea there would be peace, if Israel threw all of its weapons into the sea there would be a bloodbath, what's so hard to understand about that?

And with this reconfirmation of what we already knew was happening...

Not to change topics, but this is one of the exact reasons why Iran will not be allowed to produce and distribute nuclear weapons.

Ret,

you show a clear understanding of the situation.

You mean like Iran and Hezbollah, who won't recognise Israel in any form, in non-compliance with UN

Most of you have no clue. Israel is far from all goodl, nor is Iran. There's not a good and bad side in this conflict, unlike some of you seem to believe. This again shows a little people know about the situation as well as how complex the situation is.

You are correct in that, but you missed my point.

My point is they are both lapdogs Of Iran/Syria.
They both get armed and trained from the same.

Both attack Israel as their masters please.

Different groups in different places armed from the same doing the same terrorist work, close enough for me to lump them togather.

Are you really so naive as to believe that the Israelis could do anything that would pacify the Palestinians and stop them from trying to kill them?

Even if Israel returned every speck of land, the Palestinians would justify continued violence because of Israel's "previous misdeeds" against them, and so it would continue.

That part I do understand, do you disagree?
