I posted a poem last night that gave me this idea. www.abovetopsecret.com... I think this will make for some interesting reading if some of the great writers here will join in and add to the thread. Here is my first one...

Bones

Midnight waltz beneath the moon
corpses dancing moan and swoon
putrid flesh hangs off the bone
swirling round to hellish tone
once lovely in her tattered gown
now just a skeleton dancing 'round
maggots feasted til was clean
to give the bones a lovely sheen
stay in a night or perhaps by chance
you come upon the macabre dance
where you become the dancers slave
waltzed alas into your grave...

That was pretty damn good too.
I think we got a natural born poet here.

broken spirit, once beheld,
the open gates, of waiting hell,
falling fast, was all the rave,
deaths disciple, a willing slave,
broken thorough, and torn asunder,
anxious souls, for the demon's plunder,
tearing open, buried tombs,
feasting madly, on open wounds,
driven by, some primal lust,
ashes to ashes, and dust to dust,
howling laughter, from the night,
screeching spirits, full of fright,
"for chaos reigns and panic numbs,
when something wicked this way comes"

Yep, that was awesome!! Thank you for adding it! I do love to read poetry and I think we all forget that there is a dark side to everthing!

I didn't do it

Stab and carve
slice and dice
shot him once
stabbed him twice
bloody hands
deafening scream
awaken from a deadly dream
I didn't do it, I'm his wife
but there on the floor
lays the bloody knife
I didn't do it
what have I done
in my hand
the smoking gun
Someone shake me
If you dare
help me out
of this bloody nightmare

too little, too late, not in time,
too far gone, to save mankind,
little else, consoles the rage,
vengeance now, a new found age,
all we had, to do was try,
death reigns now, as children cry,
the bodies lay, in the street,
nothing merely, more than meat,
and why have, we suffered fate,
apathy rules, to little too late.

Brain is tired, spirit numb,
fallen ill, you have the dumb,
speaking clearly, not work does,
not for really, just because,
sense not making, just marmalade,
grasshoppers, chocolate, & lemonade,

In all seriousness though, I have had the interest in expressing some of my more dark emotions as of late.
With all the crap going on in the world, it seems and easy outlet.
